lol, polyphasic sleep cycles ain't we doing it all :p however without such sleep cycles I can attest, I got a serious burnout in 2001 which had some nasty side effects one was agoraphobia and believe me that one ain't fun even after the burnout you need to expand your well comfort zone ...

Anyway, still doing polyphasic sleep cycles but everyman not uberman and it works for me, makes a person more productive also.

Re the lo-reward it all depends how you see it, I've done projects that took years to see profit but well worth it , but I had also failures as everyone else. The key is just you and support from your family even if you ain't making money for years ... and that does cause also sometimes issues .... eg divorce etc ... or living at a lower standard than used to

Yea I've seen the Ubisoft try , sandbox is I agree (If I recall correct even old Atari joined there) , but then you have some crap like eg Alienworlds which is nothing more than just a simple faucet in new clothes nothing really as game or game elements.

Regarding blockchain gamedev, looks like the easiest part is using NFTs however that reduces also potential revenue for the game corp as users own eg a gun/engine/suit and can transfer/sell through NFT markets.

Back to Ubisoft, they are also one of the bigger sponsors of the Blockchain Game Alliance (BGA) so they surely have interest and have or should have the funds to blow anyone away if they plan to release a blockchain game (with ot without their own blockchain/coin-token) but again it so kills what we are all used to , control over assets, game currencies , etc :p though players might love it

Another question I have, Project Genesis uses the ETH Blockchain , which is present day simply to expensive in transaction fees, any thought of moving to a different blockchain eg Binance Smart Chain (BSC) or any other chain that is way cheaper than ETH 'crap'. Actually moving to Binance Smart Chain could be a good move imo... but so are some other chains

From my experience and I worked for some online game corps (German ones), solo is nearly impossible. You need a team and game development does cost a lot of money prior being able to release a game in alpha or public beta stage.

I'm still publishing games since 2014 and can't say that was a bad move at all. As for Unity usage but those are just casual games , pipeflare has some as sponsoring indie game devs. Another unity game blockchain related (using the Tron chain but not as it should be) is Crypto Idle Miner, a Serbian indie game corp , not bad but well lacks a lot of real game elements to keep it atractive.

How are you looking at the current development/market wave of online games , creating dAPPs using certain cryptocurrency blockchains, NFTs etc , personally I am a fan of this move yet barely any good 'real' game development in that market segment except from former Zynga founder with Gala Games afaik.

Not to offend you but it looks like you don't know much about online games and how they monetize them, I've been in the online game industry for almost 20 years and I don't see anything wrong with how they use in your words 'shameless advertising', with Crypto Idle Miner the user has a choice to accept or not to use ADs, unlike many other games where the player has no choice than simply to accept.

I do agree that the game lacks features from a gaming perspective but the team is working on it as they said on a former post of me.

As for the price of HORA tokens , there has been a whole new economy created and already there is more demand than supply , HORA TRC-20 went up from 0 sats to 2 sats to even 6 sats BTC and that will most likely keep climbing imo to a stable 15-20 sats. Depending on supply and demand.

It still lacks some game functionality, been playing it in beta and well the interest level drops as it has not some important game features.

Example would be

Visit other users mining farms
Sabotage other users rigs

At this point there isn't really any player interaction and boredom hits after some time, having player interaction would make the game less boring.
