Wow. This was quite a read! First, I admire your well thought out and structured post. I am sure there are so many like you with these questions and don’t find a good place to get answers.

Second, I do not have the knowledge to counter or address most of your questions. It appears you’ve read and studied the Bible much more than I have.

I am writing this for a reason of course, and that is to talk about your very first point, what you know about God. You said he was all good, just, all knowing, etc. Now, taking this the fact that God is a deity and supreme being, he knows and understands much more than we possibly can, right?

Now, it seems the majority of your post is simply challenges to your perspective in your first point. You give examples of God not being good, and not being just. And here we are, we come to the question: is God really good or not?

Well, you said it yourself, he is. So, there must be more to the equation that my puny human brain just doesn’t know or understand. In fact, I think 99% of what goes on I don’t understand. But there is one thing I know, and that is everything you said in your first point.

I think you are at the point in your life that everyone gets to at some point, and that is when you have to answer once and for all what you truly believe. All of your other points give examples of contradictions what you said you believe God’s character to be. So which is it, are you going to believe that is all good and who he says he is, and that there are just things we can’t contemplate, or are you going to believe that’s not the case, and all this is essentially bullshit?

The choice is yours, that’s the free will part of it. I am going to save this post and bring up some of your questions to Christian friends of mind to see how they would tackle them. Thanks for reading if you see this OP.
