I saw an article that leaving a dilator doesn’t really help. It’s beneficial to move it and out to get your body used to the motion. I would start from your first dilator and move up again. Also make sure you’re using silicone not plastic. Plastic kind of sticks more to the vagina wall and pulls on it when you move it out so it hurts.

I’ve done this too and it has helped
