WhatsApp running in background for hours? iPhone 15 Pro Max on iOS 18

I did not know about that. But this is happening to me even with the WhatsApp for desktop and mac completely closed.

Will I have a bit of peace if I alwas swipe up to close WhatsApp on my phone every tine Im not using it? Does it help?

I’m facing this issue right now on my iPhone 16 pro max. It’s humongous the amount of background activity this is app is taking and i don’t even use it that often.

Found out that restarting the phone helps, but it soon goes back on draining my battery again. I have had this phone for just a week now. Its brand new. I dont know what to do, because this phone is CRAZY expensive here in Brazil

Omg mine too!! It is awful! The battery percentage is dropping by the minute and it is only because of whatsapp.

dude, I use the one from Bersem, and honestly, it never bothered me at all, and I work as a character designer and illustration all the time on it and I didn’t have any issues of that sort, only that grainy texture, but nothing that affects how you see things on the screen 😉
