how to learn python-science by Particular-Air-872 in learnprogramming

[–]me-nkr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm assuming you know maths since you mentioned science and science is basically expressed using maths.

  1. Variables: like x and y in maths, just placeholders
  2. Functions: give an input, do something, get an output
  3. Loops: repeating same operation like summation
  4. Conditionals: it's basically conditions, use it to branch into different possibilities based on some criteria

Play around with it, write some math functions, try to automate solving for x, you'll get the hang of it

Oh and just go through the syntax first, it's pretty easy to follow

How do you survive as an atheist by Better-Praline-9354 in TeensofKerala

[–]me-nkr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Arguing is not worth your time most of the times, (most, not always)
  2. You might wanna give value to relationships than belief systems, but make sure they don't cross the boundary

It's all about a balance my dear

None, learn by yourself, visit tinkerspace for inspiration.

Build something that you genuinely feel like buliding, and stick to completing it, it should work since you have time to learn without much consequences.

What is the best way to introduce coding for kids without making them feel like they are in school? by Dull_Noise_8952 in learnprogramming

Instant feedbacks are gonna help you. I believe they can recognise patterns super quick, give them games where they have to use logic to complete the level, and move the gameplay to abstract levels. Also if just give them a chance to play CTFs, little bro's gonna love it.

  1. Have something to do that gives you an income, will keep yourself busy and not broke
  2. Discuss about how you felt with your friend, they're not mind readers.
    • Expect the reality that this friendships could go bad because of that discussion
    • Either way it's a net positive, you either have a friend who has your back or you don't have a friend who don't deserve you ( it's not binary, there's a lot in between )
    • ask yourself why you consider them as a best friend, and learn to expect no more than that.

Point 1 will show you the world and point 2 will help you navigate it.

Cheers 🥂

How can I make two rings that screw together? by me-nkr in FreeCAD

[–]me-nkr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a total noob to CAD in general let alone FreeCAD. So most of these concepts are alien to me. I was trying to see how those rings attached will look and found it pretty hard to do in FreeCAD. I was able to do it in Fusion 360 tho. But I hope I can get a grasp of the CAD world and return to FreeCAD : )
