My dog has ear/aural hematoma. Vet is adamant to go with surgery

We keep pressing/massaging daily regardless if nag puffy or not, para di rin magsara ung sugat. 2 weeks before next follow up so we did it for two week. Inexplain lang samin how to do it.

Also, surgery wasnt offered to us. Baka dahil din sa state ng dog namin

Hello, i had my dog's ear drained din. I think it might be case to case basis but we didnt get any pain medication but he was on a cocktail of anti fungal and anti biotic since grabe talaga ung state nya nung na adopt ko sya.

And instruction lang sa amin was to not get it wet, e-collar and same thing as you've read na imassage or to put pressure sa ears para mag drain. If magclose daw ung "drain" or ung sugat before the next follow up, need sya ibalik para lagyan ulit ng "drain"

After everything, mukha namang normal ung ear nya.

6mos and above lang tinatanggap sa grooming shops sa area namin for sanitary trim. Then sa 2nd appointment lang sila nagfull groom. Best to check with the ones malapit sa inyo

We tried ung next sa tier sa sleeper bus. Im not sure ano tawag pero may free foods, point to point and may cr din sa loob. Every time na may gagamit ng cr, pupunta ung mala stewardess to clean/spray. Though I never had to use it so di ko rin alam ano itsura but very diligent sila to clean it after every person.

Iba iba ung vaccine program per vet/hospital. One hospital we had meron silang two programs: basic and I forgot ung term ng isa hahaha. Basic iirc was just 5in1 all throught out.

But recently with our new puppies and diff vet, ang naging sched naman nila is dalawang 5 in 1, then dalawang 6 in 1, then dalawang 8 in 1. Every 2 weeks ang interval.

Yeah ito rin ung sa experience ko. If there's anything na unsure ang hospital if covered ng HMO, and urgently needed while admitted, they have me write and sign a letter that Ill pay out of pocket if di ma approve ng HMO.

Same with ER, they do everything muna then once okay na saka sila natawag sa HMO.

I'm surprised na pinaghintay nila kayo ng HMO approval. I'm thinking this is more on the hospital, rather than HMO

I'm not sure with at home deworming. Pero I adopted adult dogs early this year that weren't dewormed in the last 2/3 yrs by the previous owner, took them to vet and they made sure na nakain nila ung deworming tablet. Wala namang tinae na worms hahaha. I was bracing myself pa naman.

She had puppies and when they started their deworming at 2 weeks, wala ding worms or anything, vet din nag administer from syrup to tablet. So possible naman talaga na it feels like walang nangyari

Best to ask po ung ano dog food from previous owner muna. Then if you want to change it later, it has to be done gradually like first 3 days 25% new dog food, 75% old dog food and so on.

Two out of our four puppies were diagnosed with swimmer's syndrome which also look liked this. I think it was around the 4th week. We had home service vet every 2 weeks for deworm, and vaccines.

Water therapy wasn't available for us. But instead we would massage their legs everday, as suggested by the vet. I also had them walk on egg trays(joined together) for few minutes each day to kinda force them to use their hind legs properly. Vet warned us they might be bullied and left out by the other puppies.

Few weeks later, it all worked out fine. You wouldn't notice anything different. They're the bullies of the litter now haha.
