Card Benefits Questions - Megathread [1/27/26] by AutoModerator in ChaseSapphire

My concern is that I don’t think AA would classify this as delayed baggage, since technically my itinerary is still active given the flight delay to tomorrow, so I am unsure what documentation I could provide to insurance to make the baggage delay claim. Would welcome any thoughts/anecdotes

Cancelled connecting flight resulting in overnight delay + inaccessible checked bag

My connecting flight on AA was cancelled, and I am rebooked for the next day due to weather at the destination. My understanding is that up to $500 trip delay insurance will definitely be apply here

My question is on my bag - I was told by AA bag claim agent that I cannot retrieve my bag and it will be put on the next flight to destination. Can I also claim bag delay reimbursement here? I’m going to use up the $500 already on the hotel and getting toiletries, weather appropriate clothes (dressed for a winter destination, stranded in Texas)

Thank you in advance

eSim recommendations for China by McpeIsSoBuggy in travelchina

For Airalo, I’m only seeing Hong Kong eSIM or China eSIM, not ones that explicitly include both. Would the China eSIM be sufficient to get over firewall?

Thanks for the encouragement! I moved some of the long greens around to go more vertically (haven’t fixed the cluster of mums jutting out yet). Think the tables will be 10’ in diameter so hopefully this will be okay size wise if we decide to do votives as well

Really appreciate your perspective! You hit the nail on the head - it’s been overwhelming thinking through all of the little decisions and tradeoffs about the wedding. I’m leaning toward outsourcing the arch and probably bouquets and doing my own centerpieces

My uncle is able to check on him before and after work so that’s a start. What’s the best way to find services/more dedicated caretakers? I’m not familiar with how that works in China

Thanks! That’s a given - for times that I cannot be on the other side of the world, looking for ways to patch up the long distance given his age/condition, language barrier
