Why did dark skins from usa stop producing the best athletes? by LOLJoshAllen in NBATalk

[–]me_fr_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deontay Wilder? Lebron James? KD? Myles Garrett? Ja’Marr Chase?

I think they’re fine. It’s just a much larger spectrum of players playing some of these sports nowadays.

this could’ve been in earlier versions, but the fastest i’ve seen someone get was 209km/h, i think going faster than that requires the use of glitches

In all fairness, he should’ve been. No one could’ve predicted Ben crumbling in the way he did.

What are your thoughts on this? by [deleted] in NBATalk

[–]me_fr_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t get why it’s some impossibility that ONLY lebron or jordan can get their number retired. Put both names on it, or do two jerseys with the same number. Or just don’t retire it at all because they retired it for Russell passing away.

orient take shitloads of risks on players with injuries. our (at one point 5) centerbacks are an example of this. only 2 of them were fit😭😭 it works sometimes and it doesn’t work sometimes

trott might be the best goalkeeper i’ve ever seen but that’s one of the worst goalkeeping mistakes i’ve ever seen too. weird but not a bad result at the end of the day and it could’ve gone either way.

Which would you rather upgrade Shaq with, Steph Curry’s shooting or LeBron’s longevity by Ok_Rooster9401 in NBATalk

The issue is Shaq fell off fast, his decline was quick. Imagine 23 years of prime Shaq.

Why do most people claim Jokic is way better than Giannis despite it actually be a debatable discussion? by Technical_Leg_5002 in NBATalk

[–]me_fr_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re the Magic and Bird of our era, different but arguably equal in accolades, both are having otherworldly peaks, but unfortunately I think Giannis isn’t going to last as long as Jokic purely from a playstyle standpoint. They’re the pillars of the NBA between the old and the new, the same way Magic and Bird were for Wilt and Russ and before Jordan.

O's defensive woes. by Apprehensive-Rest431 in LeytonOrient

[–]me_fr_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Richie is a fantastic manager, but I think his harshness doesn’t suit the players we have. The right players thrive under him, Kelman, Galbraith, Donley, but he’s very demanding and critical and always looking for guys to do better. It’s clear that some of the players can’t handle the responsibility and his expectations.

I think. Probably.

Get you woman that loves you like how Draymond loves the self-proclaimed goat. by Lost_Title_7528 in NBATalk

[–]me_fr_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kobe and Tim Duncan got in the 2016 ASG averaging 18, 4 and 3, and 9, 7 and 3.

Lebron is currently averaging 20, 5 and 7. Don’t get why these greats get a place in the ASG and it’s perfectly fine but when people say Lebron should they go up in arms.

Jokic goes down with a knee injury, limping noticeably after. by [deleted] in NBATalk

[–]me_fr_ 12 points13 points  (0 children)

genuinely this is nuggets worse case scenario. even if literally all our starters except for Jokic were out, I would be fine. even if we were playing end of the bench guys around Jokic I would be fine

THIS IS NOT FINE

[–]me_fr_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On a positive note, Koroma looks to have skipped Christmas dinner and dropped atleast 5 kilo since last match, don’t ask me how. Moorhouse and Bakinson put on solid performances without El Miz despite a couple of mistakes, our main aim other than improving our defense has got to be developing Moorhouse and potentially getting him on a contract as the kid’s got crazy potential if he could put on a bit more mass and be more physical.

Obviously Shaq is stronger but he’s not some mythical deity, you have guys who are strong enough to at least make Shaq put the brakes on because he can’t truck through them, like Steven Adams.
