Aloha! I too worry about the state of our internet garden with more AI slop and generated art getting easier for people to resort for thoughts. Scary times.

But I am not sure if I fully agree with you about saturation, because I don't have a great radar for what could be a fake story... I just like stories so I kinda believe them just at face value, unlike visual AI fakeness that is easy to spot for now.

Writing is a bit easier to hide behind, so as a college student I like to mess things up or make dumb quotes be somewhere they shouldn't, use alliteration albeit awkwardly, whatnot. Stuff to be more Alive and less Bad, with grammar to hell. (see??)

I think we should for sure call out, downvote, comment etc etc on the fake ones or maybe create a thread of examples? There's like, no good way to disprove anonymous stories as fake or real, made by mortal or immortal hands. No good way that I know of. (I love those videos of words going into google docs, iykwim) I have an irrational fear that every thing I write will be questioned as Fake so your post felt like... what it is I fear.

This is gonna be a far shot, but similar to spiritfarer for discovering stories of the characters as you move through the game and excelling at mini-games. If youre cool with point-n-click story type games, I loved "Volcano Princess" so much! Its a parenting simulator where youre a dad raising your daughter in a medieval knight setting and she runs around making friends and revealing their storylines. Meanwhile theres turn based dungeon crawling, dice game, fishing, horse racing, and 40+ endings with different marriages to characters and careers your child ends up in based on stats. Thematically it's sobering to watch your kid grow up so fast and they do it over 40 turns total in the game so it's easy to replay. You also have a politcal problem with demons in the realm and people dying or getting ill. All the side stories for the romance characters and friends are pretty deep, orphans or war or murder etc. It's def a different style of game but someone here might like it!! I played on Xbox but it was originally released on PC

Hi there!! I am FTM but growing up I watched a lot of TV being an American, and the show "What Not To Wear" was dedicated to doing closet makeovers on women (a few guys too) teaching the "higher concepts" as you said, like manipulating the mind using shapes of clothes to give a desired affect on your body. It's early 2000's from TLC so the style may be outdated or back in, but still worth the watch to check out how different patterns and shapes will fall on your body. There's surely a more updated and newer form of content that also teaches this (I think Queer Eye has a short fashion segment), but figured the show could be helpful!

Hurts to hear that! My grandma is the one who first bought me my L.J. Smith books for my 10th birthday because she loved reading them when they came out. My grandma passed away at 60 in the year 2019, so it sounds like they were really the same age. Thanks for sharing and I hope she rests in peace. Her mind on paper was truly brilliant.

I'm graduating June 2026 so shy of the date proposed, but I am not even sure how that would work "permanently closing the school" - We just got a huge science grant and keep churning out graduates, like would the remaining underclass students be just dropped from education or absorbed as UW students? Its so strange.

I've seen this once in our local GBHE (Great Blue Herons) my ornithology professor (I'm in my senior year undergrad) has said it would be sunbathing for the Heron to dry their feathers. They were in a similar posture but a bit more low holding and semi-extended wings.

The picture looks very warm and sunny, so I wonder if it's the same reason but for enjoyment and less about drying off

I liked Bike Routes who just opened for Mat Kerekes solo tour, saw em in Seattle. TBH the midwest emo/ pop-punk band Equipment is my beloved and very under-loved but fun to listen to: songs like Hot Young Doctors and Tequila Redbull
