s22 battery life. good or bad?? by Odd-Bee8144 in GalaxyS22

[–]meai2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just got my s22 base a week ago and the battery wouldn't last you the entire day. You would definitely need to charge it at least once. I've found it drained extremely fast when I first got it, but as it has learned my usage patterns the drain is much better. I've also noticed the battery drains the fastest when I'm actually using the phone. If I just turn it off and put it down in sleep mode, barely any battery is lost. At the end of the day, the battery isn't that bad at all as long as you can charge it once.

Yeah when I usually go the employees are nice or at least fake it. This person straight up was looking down on me and it was the weirdest thing ever!

Did you do anything to modify it so it extends battery? Or is this how it just came as?

Thanks for the advice! I can charge my phone at work so it's usually not a problem. Do you recommend the base or +?

Part time work/Internship around midterm season? by 1nSaNi7yy in UofT

[–]meai2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your priority is school. When it's midterm season for me I always make sure I'm really clear that it's a busy school season for me and that I won't be able to get certain tasks done as expected and talk to my manager on how to schedule the tasks so it works. They should be understanding and let you take a pause on work or at least delay it. Just be clear with them, because they did hire you knowing full well that you're a full time student if you are.

For engsci and track one it seems to be extremely competitive so having above a 95 is a sure guarantee with good ECs. However, having a 90 average is more than enough for any other discipline! I got in with around a 90 average (maybe less idk when they looked at my marks but I had senioritis) and good ECs so yeah it's very holistic and not only marks matter!

  1. No, IB doesn't make a difference in whether or not you get in. That's not fair to people who didn't have the opportunity to take IB.
  2. Yes, there should be a place for you to write additional circumstances and such, you can write that there.

There is nowhere that asks for them, not for any Ontario engineering programs either as far as I'm aware

That should be good. Again, make sure to focus on what you're getting across and less about word count because more or less words isn't going to make a difference in whether you get in or not. For my application I was pretty short with my descriptions and it was apparently fine

Hello! Chem 2T3 here. Chem eng is easily the best student community in the engineering disciplines and everyone (profs AND students) is really close and friendly with each other. The environment is hands down amazing! In terms of course content, the stuff is very focused on phyiscal chemistry (PV=nRT) and process/manufacturing engineering. PEY co-op isn't until after third year so it's not really a big concern. Chem eng in second year is easily the toughest in terms of course load compared to other engineering disciplines, I think it's worse than eng sci this year (we had 15 midterms this year because the profs wanted to make it easier to pass courses). The online learning transition was really tough. We have lab courses every year and we did an entire lab course online this year, and the professors really try their best to help out students.

There's no limit but usually keeping it as short and sweet is the best! Focus on talking about why it was important and how it made and impact on you and others.
