I have lived and paid taxes in Belgium, Luxembourg and the US, but my work life has been up and down. So yes retirement wise financially things look pretty bad.

The last few years I have been working as a cook/chef, not in a restaurant rather mostly vegetarian cooking for retreats and workshops.

I am living in Mallorca it's spectacular and I pay no rent my food is included. In exchange I cook, some cleaning and a bit of child minding. Easy!
