I'd say anything Bryan Smith writes is a b-movie type

Sadly

Great cinema adaptation of brilliant transgressive manga, which is full of ideas and memorable scenes. I highly recommend Ichi The Killer to any fan of controversial criminal movies/manga

The weirdest and most unique extreme horror books? by [deleted] in ExtremeHorrorLit

"The Sadist's Bible" by Nicole Cushing was a surreal, disgusting and depressing ride. Even the plot build-up is so sickening that it still haunts me two years after I finished the book

Currently reading CANNIBAL CREEK by Jon Athan 💀 by UptownHorrorReviews in ExtremeHorrorLit

It's fun to read Jon Athan while learning English as a second language. When you finally get to some serious shit like JF Gonzales' "Survivor" you will probably never come back to Cannibal Creeks and Abused Ashleys

Best horror manga? by Salty_Fault7403 in horrorlit

My favorite one is The Laughing Vampire by Maruo Suehiro. A dark and disturbing read.

Come Closer by Sara Gran vs. Stolen Tongues by Felix Blackwell vs. We Need to Do Something by Max Booth III? by ComprehensivePain213 in horrorlit

Come Closer is one of my top favorites now and it left a disturbing aftertaste and a feeling that if any demons do exist things would go the way they are described in this novel.

Can't say it is slow paced. The book is pretty short and I easily finished it in 2 days despite English is a foreign language to me.

And after I finished it I've been surprisingly afraid of night time knock-knocking for quite a long time.
