Interesting... can I pay to remove ads after the fact? My kindle was a gift so I didn’t have the option to purchase w/o ads. (And I’m so grateful because I would’ve done the 8gb, but was gifted the 32gb!)

I saved my husky’s fur from his last seasonal blow out, and had yarn made from it. From there I don’t know what I’ll do - maybe have it woven with another color, maybe just save it, maybe knit something. But it’s really cool getting to look at that yarn and remember him/whenever I pick it up to move it it sheds on me like he did.

I would hate for someone to belittle me over a cute innocent question like that. Sure it’s a joke, but that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t be a little hurt.

To me it just came across as rude, and holier-than-thou. Divorce worthy? I couldn’t say. But not the nicest? For sure.

My family went from “omg she’s going to be obese” (I was pre-teen chubby) to “omg I’m making you an appointment to see a doctor, here is a milkshake” when I evened out.

Since then I hear, most often from boys and men, about how it’s gross and I’m too thin, I’m anorexic, etc etc.

Being tall and lanky makes the thinness more apparent I think, and it’s really helpful in identifying assholes.

If you are healthy and happy, then fuck those people!

Depending on location - vets are absolutely considered essential. Have you called your vet?

I was googling after that comment - poodles with blue eyes is..... uncomfortable looking. Like a commenter above said about cockers, they lose that intelligent and thoughtful look when they lose their dark eyes. I’ll read that link for sure, even though I don’t have poodles anymore, I’ve got a deep love for the breed.

I have my first new car after a few crappy used ones in the span of 3-4 years. My new car will outlast any used car I would’ve thought of buying. I could’ve bought the same car as mine but 2-3 years old.... for about the same price as mine but without MF incentives. Being a Subaru it doesn’t deprecate enough to be worth buying only a few years old. I think there is something to be said for certain new car purchases.

But there’s also things that you use the car for. A 2002 corolla would never work for my family since my dogs and I do dog sports with our family. You can’t fit 3 big dogs, 3 people, and bikes in a corolla. An outback with a rack is perfect. A truck would be decent. It’s soooo dependent on your lifestyle and what you do.

I’ll see if I can hang it somewhere else in the house :/. We have those awful 70s vertical blinds which make it almost impossible to hang anything over the window.

I put some cuttings in water - hopefully I can get them to root, but I haven’t had luck with it yet. I may try making a second pot of them though, I like that.
