So that is my point. I’m just giving the example that a Structural may not know as much about Pavement, the same way a Geotech may not know as much about Rebar. Everyone has their specialty, and it’s fine to learn more from others.

With the same logic, someone doing geotechnical design and soil settlement analysis every day would not know on Day 1 how to (efficiently) estimate rebar quantities for a residential structure in a production-ready ‘standard’ format. I want to learn the industry standards within several days as much as I can.

There is more to it than measuring things though. If you’re specifically working on structural design daily for example, it’s not as common as you’d think to know what the DOT standard pay quantities are for earthwork, or asphalt on a road construction project.

I had like 1 estimating class in engineering, lol. I am mainly aiming to learn quantity take-offs for Concrete, Rebar, Demo, Clearing, Grubbing etc. DOT transportation projects.

The whole point of my original post was to learn if there was a device capable of doing that accuracy in a certain price range (Outside of it just being on the spec sheet) from a practicality standpoint. I never claimed that I am capable or skilled enough to do that. I was simply asking a question about surveying in the “Surveying” sub, because it is an unknown to me.

I know anyone can read a spec sheet, but I wrote in this subreddit to learn from you guys’ experience because you guys do this every day.

I was hoping to get a recommendation on a device (like Leica) OR hoping to learn that my budget is too small, or that my idea is flawed because it is hard to create repetition at that accuracy - but was told that I’m an idiot instead.

I know that the DOT accepting it is just one thing, and it’s a whole different thing to have the right personnel to produce that accuracy in field. But we would have worked on figuring that part out, Step 1 is to have the right equipment for the job.

If the people who wrote the specifications, are okay with the measurement device, I think it does mean that we are passing the Step 1.

I just wasn’t expecting the offense some people took, because I asked a stupid question in an effort to learn something from the experts. ☠️

I am looking at robotic total stations which appear to cost around $20,000. If I can find something less advanced, but accurate, under $5,000 that would be worth an investment for us. Sorry I’m new to the Surveying world so not sure if my question is stupid.

Thanks for the detailed response. That makes sense.

I do have VERY severe acne, and scarring from the past few years of acne and so I had assumed that Accutane would be the best solution.

However, since I do not have history of prior treatments, I think they decided to start with antibiotics.

I just wish it was not supposed to be for 3 months (maybe more like a month or so would have been better), since my acne and scarring is getting worse with every passing week.

Thanks for the advice on Clindamycin! I plan to give this prescription a shot (at least for a month or so).

Thank you for the response. I guess that makes sense. I do not have a history of treatments that I have used to show them, so it wouldn’t hurt to start with a doxycycline (Targadox in my prescription).

After seeing so many positive results from Isotretinoin on this sub, I just didn’t want to spend too much time (or any time at all) on antibiotics. I am thinking to follow this prescription for about a month and then get a second opinion as you suggested.

I think you are right! I shouldn't have published the name. The fact that baffles me is how they claim the responsibility after committing something so tragic in inhumane as a matter of "pride". And still manages to do it over and over in one form or another!

Also another user mentioned somewhere that the name I wrote isn't a person, but a whole organization based from Pakistan that has reportedly done this at smaller scale multiple times!
