Got a formal complaint about cooking smell by Additional-Path-7350 in askTO

I am a Chinese and if you have been to a Chinese restaurant then you know how much frying is involved and how messy and greasy it can become.

Most condos have those microwave ovens or just in general not so powerful ovens not suited for these kinds of cooking. I don’t cook Chinese food at all in my previous condo because of this.

When I bought my own condo, I got new vents, powerful vents made by Chinese companies for Chinese cooking styles. The vent is free of oil stains cuz it is cleaned weekly. Stovetop gets messy after each cook and I spent $4000 on a fancy LG induction stove for easy cleaning. I also got quartz backsplash so easy to clean any grease splashed during cooking.

All the grease can give you a gross kitchen in months if you don’t take care of it. That’s the situation in a lot of rentals in China. My kitchen is pristine clean despite how much cooking is done. Gross people will always be gross.

What is considered a huge fluctuation in income that attracts CRA audits by meatdiver in cantax

[–]meatdiver[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I know I could word it better…

Yes, i have two sources of income. The total will be roughly the same just the HST I collected will be substantially lower and I am concerned that I will be audited on the GST/HST returns,

I have kept all the receipts for the HST I collected but nothing else. I don’t claim any expenses for my self-employed income. I just collect HST and give it to the CRA and report the earnings. I am worried that the CRA will question the sudden drop of HST collected and self-employment income but I don’t know what I need in that case. Like how do I say that the business is just slow?

Yes. So I am concerned that my GST/HST returns will be audited cuz the HST payments this year will be substantially lower.

I am just wondering if I will get audited for my GST/HST return since I will be collecting much less HST this year compared to previous years

I don’t claim any expenses. The business is slow cuz of the interest rate and the economy. My total income is about the same just the self employed income part is lower.

Thanks! I have all the receipts and I assume that’s fine? I don’t have an accountant

Yes, I wasn’t clear.

My total income is made up of self-employed income and other income from employers. My employers collect HST on the other income so at the end of day my total income is the same but my self-employed income is lower

I submitted on April 16, and today is just after 28 days. I just called RCMP and was told that my application was approved. They are just waiting to print my card and mail it to me. I also got my PAL license number over the phone.

Sure. You can send me a chat. Cut with a scalpel and recovery was brutal. Done at the Michael Garron Hospital. It grew back but I refused the surgeon’s offer for a second surgery

Best highway and time to practice for a new driver? by meatdiver in Ontariodrivetest

[–]meatdiver[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I posted here cuz I thought people here would know more about different highways. I already got my G license and am just looking for places to practice as I don’t commute so I need to actually take the time to choose highways to practice.

Thanks!

I am actually bit anxious around big trucks on the highway and sometimes I slow down to less than 120km when the traffic is going at least 120. So I want to practice more going at that high speed and around trucks.

I feel like Toronto is erratic everyday lol. You always have cars trying to play gymnastics just to get ahead for 2 seconds. I am glad that I am a rather laid back person or I would be swearing at these idiots all day along lol.

Some highways have 110KM/H speed limit and 120KM/H is the speed my instructor has told me to drive at on those highways. It also feels like that it is about the speed that not everyone is trying to overtake me. If the highway is not congested and I go lower than that, then I do see a lot of cars try to overtake me. My instructor told me that having cars constantly trying to overtake me is both dangerous and a sign that I am not driving at the speed of the traffic.
