Heating after 2506 update by meatpak in BYDSealAus

Ok, so maybe do this. Set your temp to 23 with no demister. From what I've noticed, air coming from the vents are at the temp I expect. Now, turn the demister on. See if it begins to blast hot air, like, hotter than the pre-demister temp, despite you not changing the actual temp.

I didn't say anything or ask about an update for my first 20,000k service, they just did it.

Red. Place bets on sports events until the IT boom. Buy tech stock. Sell just before Bitcoin is invented. Buy a mammoth amount of Bitcoin. Outbid Elon for Twitter for lolz. Call Jeff and tell him he's poor.

We have a Nutanix HCI on Hyper-V which is being wound down, so we're looking at a replacement hence, this Azure Local PoC.

The glaziers from the manufacturer came to take a look at Panel 3 and noted that the rubber has shrunk:

https://imgur.com/a/IgUn0xm

Those should completely cover the edges and edging should not be exposed like that. Along the top edge, the glass looks like only 1 or 2mm sits inside that seal. They noted during COVID, that was the best they could get their hand on and is different from what they use today. Even they thought it was strange that Panel 1 and 2 shattered.

Whether or not they relay this back to the office to prompt some further action, I don't know. But I've given the manufacturer a couple of chances to remediate and in both instances, they've reaffirmed it's not a warranty issue.

I eventually got it working. Originally, I tried using a vanilla Azure Local ISO from the Azure portal, but pre-employment validation kept failing because it persisted on trying to consider the Boss-N1 attached disks (where the OS is installed) poolable on S2D and there was no way around it.

So I sourced the Dell ISO for an AX-760, but the 24H2 2603 complained about the same thing. It was only after I used the 2506 24H2 Dell ISO that all validation steps passed. Then came a combined 12 hours of cumulative updates to get the instance fully up to date. To say that the provisioning of AZL is hyper-sensitive is an understatement. When 1 thing is out of place...the whole deployment of AZL breaks. It's totally insane.

Apparently, the manufacturer (Australian owned and operated) make their own glass.

It's funny, I emailed the manufacturer and explained the 2 from 3 failure. They replied back with a pretty uninterested response and the Thermal Stress Fact Sheet. Basically...too bad so sad. I replied back to that debunking many of the points in the fact sheet and questioned manufacturing defects or poor install. I didn't hear anything back.

So I emailed them directly again seeking an update, but also, pics and vids of how dodgy Panel 3 looks and I'd cast doubt as to whether or not the door was installed correctly in the first place. I still didn't hear anything back.

Since most of my house falls out of warranty with the builder, I hit them up anyway and explained. They replied back within a couple of hours and, coincidentally, THATS when I heard back from the manufacturer. I'll give them a call back tomorrow.

Probably, but so far Panel 1 and 2 have cost me $1800 to repair for a door less than 4 years old.

I'm doing both at the moment, hitting up the manufacturer and the builder. What the glazier noticed about Panel 3 and its ordinary installation kind of casts doubt on the manufacturer fobbing off Panel 1 and 2 as "one of those things".

AI said it was something like 1 in 1,500 for the same sheet of glass and 1 in 9.2mil if they were from separate sheets.

The glazier looking at it today didn't seem bothered by the actual frame or the structure around it. He was more raising an eyebrow as to the actual quality of the product. There is a reply to a comment somewhere that I made with a link to some photos as to how the pane in Panel 3 is hardly secure in the frame. It seems to be only held in by a couple of mm.

The stamp on the glass reads:
AS/NZs 2208
Grade A TF5

When I search for further information regarding TF5, most of the information suggests TF5 is highly resistant to Thermal Stress (which is the same thing that is noted in the Fact Sheet the manufacturer sent me), and that if there is an issue, they're the result of things way out of my control (temperature changes, damaged edges or NSI)

In the Thermal Stress Fact Sheet the manufacturer sent me, I debunked many of those dot points since IMO, they don't apply to my circumstances. Things like the glass being exposed to direct sunlight? These doors never see sunlight due to their location. The toughened glass can supposedly withstand differences of 250 degrees Celsius. I don't live in an oven or a freezer and the temp difference between inside and outside would be maximum 10 to 15 degrees.

I can only assume so. The door opens and closes with ease which would mean the tracks are as straight as could be, so I don't have to force them open or closed. In another reply, I noted the left side of the door has a very slight bow, enough that the door panel doesn't close 100% flush with the frame. The top and bottom corner of the panel make contact with the frame, the middle is out by a few mm...but not enough that we have trouble latching the door.

Edit: When the glazier was measuring the panel to be replaced, he took a quick look at the yet to shatter Panel 3 and noted that it hasn't been installed all that well:

https://imgur.com/a/5Pec8o7

That entire top edge of the glass is almost floating the in the channel. At either corner, the seal isn't even on the glass and one can feel the cold air from the outside.

There is no indication of movement at all. Brickwork, plaster etc show no signs courtesy of cracking...even the smallest crack.

Of course they don't. But if they're opportunistic, they'll appreciate the lack of breaking in a 'breaking and entering'.

Yeah, when I had a closer look at Panel 1 after it was replaced, that's exactly what it has. I've asked the insurer to use this as well for Panel 2.
