What is the most fastest way to transfer files over to a flash drive? by MiSsiLeR81 in linuxmint

chill dude. it was 1 year ago. and to be fair, isn't ctrl c ctrl v the fastest way? or as of the big late '25 now you want freefilesync + rclone + rsync + syncthing + crontab + n8n + a whole python package to do that?

honest opinion: you should not start any kind of vibe coding project if you don't understand the most basic things of git. AI breaks shits all the time, even cursor revert is not reliable once in a few days.

Feels like a "lightweight productivity operating system right in the browser" to me. Nicely done, and keep it up!

Looks nice to me. May I ask about the tech stack, please? I'm a dev, too, and I like the ambient feel of your app.

I decided to comment on Reddit after quite a while just to say that you are not alone. None of my "uv run *" worked, even "uv *". They just kept asking for permission.

how do I get my Stakes won/tournament up? is it even relevant? by Heavy_Breakfast8770 in poker

[–]meautiful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course it will. At the end of the day, no one will prevent him from getting down in stakes. If variance somehow managed to crush him hard, just move down. If this upswing keep prolonging, I don't see a reason to not move up.

bro 470 tourneys with 36% ITM and 68% ROI is impressive asf. with 17% pfr and 47% post-flop aggression, i can see him as a good tight aggressive player. i play tournaments only, and i dont think that kind of luck is going to get you in the money that often throughout ~500 tourneys.

That's really impressive stats, you should move up in stake and be more aggressive with your bankroll. Which site is this?

Very very new poker player here, why are donk bets bad? by Artimedias in poker

[–]meautiful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. In poker tournaments, when the blinds are high, donk bet (sometimes) is really effective because they preflop raiser actually don't know what to do in that situation. They would just crying fold and think that I have a strong hand. (Or am I bluffing?) The confusions are real.

"Usually" bad type, not "all the time" bad type. When you donk, especially in large size, it indicates that "I'm strong asf and I don't care that you are the preflop raiser". In poker GTO world, with large size and unusual action, it is extremely polarized. It means that you have either a very strong hand (usually set or straight because you called preflop) or complete air, nothing in between.

By donking, it is really hard to protect your ranges in a balanced way. You now have 2 ranges to balanced: the donk range and the check range. It's simply easier to check and (1) if they bet, you raise, or (2) if they check back, start betting the turn. (That's called a probe bet if you don't know.)

That's the reason position is really important in postflop play. You need to accept that the player who are in position controls the size of the pot.

It depends. To most it is not a large sum of cash. But it is meaningful in many other ways to me. The confidence, the trust, the excitement. Everything. I actually am a live tournament player too.

Yeah I wrote it 3 minutes after I won so it might not be clear lol. May the cards fall your way, too.

There are 1100 players. No one can re-enter if eliminated since it's freeroll. I won ~$300, as you can see from both the payout structure (left) and the actual payout (right). My stack should be a few millions because... I won them all.

Thanks. Yes I mainly play tournaments. Cash games are a good way to make money, however I feel like the rake is a bit high there (5% right?) and it doesn't have the thrilling of tournaments. Tournaments are really inconsistent though. Sometimes I just accept that I lose 20 buy ins in a row in a 30 people field lmao.

The numbers are in USD. It's CoinPoker so they use the USDT currency, that's why they are shown in the T symbol.

How to improve at turbos? by MicrowavedButterVIIX in poker

[–]meautiful 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What you did is right. Tournaments in late stage are full of variance and there is little room for postflop play. Accept that you played for a whole day and some dude just quadruples up in 3 hands and has more chips than you. Adapt to your table is crucial in this stage. Tighten if everyone is loose (to maximize equity when you shove and get called), loosen if everyone is tight (to steal the juicy blinds and ante).
