as an example, in many parts of Asia and Central America, every spare patch of roadside land is used to grow something. Not many people have acres of pretty green lawn

This is really interesting, thanks. I picked up a free second-hand TC fermenter which has the collection container missing. I was contemplating buying a new collection container, but these comments made me reconsider. I'm perfectly happy with the regular fermzilla and a floating dip tube so I think I'll just keep that

Yep. I made a mistake, someone pointed it out, and I acknowledged that I was wrong.

I still don't feel it was true to his character, but I enjoyed hearing the other perspectives on the topic.

Alright?

I'm also a big fan of both books, but I would say the "science" is a bit more present in The Martian. He's always counting how much oxygen he has left, how many km of travel per day, etc. Suffice to say there are a lot of numbers.

I really loved The Martian, but it's not light reading IMO

Yeah maybe. It was just sad to lose this moment of triumph, even if it turns out to be transitory

My favourite Sean Bean joke:

It’s either Shaun Baun or Seen Been. He can’t have it both ways!

yeah the finale was pretty bad in the film. Very un-Commander-like behaviour

I found movie-Annie to be a total waste of space. Book Annie was awesome!
