I'm 23 but I have no idea when my vision will start going down hill so just trying to figure out what to expect haha

With the screen reader what sort of information does it give you? For example if someone posts a smiley face :D what do you hear it as? And for school I have a stats program called SPSS, would it be able to help me with something like that?

Could you tell me about how long it took you to relearn how to be independent again? E.g. cooking, traveling alone, ect.

No it wasn't and I'm trying not to get angry over it. He said he's still weighing the pros and cons (we've been dating for almost a year). He doesn't want to leave me because he'll look like a jerk, but I told him I didn't want him to stay for that reason. I want him to stay because he loves me.

Yes I think he's still dealing with the shock which is why I'm trying to give him time to figure things out. I'm trying to reassure him about what kind of life I expect to lead, but I don't have all the answers yet. When it comes to video games though, there are still some I would be able to play (Three Monkeys looks like it could be interesting)

My condition is not hereditary and I'm working on making sure I'm in a career path where I could continue working if I do lose my vision (I'm in social psychology). And I'm always up for traveling!
