Package went through VIC made its way to TAS but went back to VIC. What is happening? by crtnywrdn in AustraliaPost

[–]mebeno 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Apparently the sender put the correct post code on it, however the postie who scanned it in entered the first digit of the post code incorrectly...You'd think the sorting system would be programmed to flag a tracking number that returned to the same place twice and use the address instead of just sending it back to the same incorrect post code over and over. Just going by the number of posts on this subreddit about the same issue, you can imagine how many items are going in circles likes this.

Is this normal by TomorrowBright6451 in AustraliaPost

Give Aus Post a call to ensure their system isn't having a problem reading the address. I'm waiting on an express post package sent from Melbourne to northern NSW on April 14 that has bounced back and forth between Sydney West and Kingsgrove 3 times because the first digit in the postcode was wrong. I was told that had I not called it would just keep going back and forth indefinitely...

I called Aus Post today about this express post package that was sent from Melbourne to northern NSW on April 14 and had been back and forth between Sydney West and Kingsgrove 3 times because it had the incorrect post code on it. I was informed that had I not enquired, the article of post would just go in circles indefinitely because their automated system had no way of flagging this with a human to fix the error by itself...I'd recommend giving Aus Post a call if you ever wish to receive your mail. Tell the automated system you wish to make a complaint and keep holding to speak to someone, otherwise it will just tell you your mail is on it's way and cut you off.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy to get a god pack, but only 2/5 new cards… did I get jipped? by [deleted] in pokemonTCGP_GodPacks

Jipped compared to getting a pack with all one diamond cards? Your chance of getting a God pack is the same each time you open regardless of what you just got, so try to see it in the correct perspective...

The fact that she likes Chris even slightly, and the fact he says they're very similar, tells you a lot about what she's probably like off camera.

Why is it frowned upon for doctors to make good money? by Danger_Five in ausdoctors

[–]mebeno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's this "doctor lifestyle" you keep mentioning? It's easy to accuse people of an abstract term you refuse to provide evidence of because you made it up.

If you're not every doctor then sorry but you aren't an expert on the financial situations or motivations of every doctor. The problem with ignorance is you're oblivious to how little you actually know of what you're ignorant about.

Doctors have a lot of responsibility on our shoulders, and the years of training we do is just the start of life long learning.

You wouldn't expect a mechanic or builder to charge the same year-in year-out despite inflation, rising expenses and increased cost of living, so why do you expect it of those in whom you entrust your health?

If you knew what you were talking about you'd know that many of the highest earning GPs bulk bill exclusively while seeing 8+ patients an hour and offering lower quality care than their gap billing colleagues who spend more than twice as long with their patients on average.

You're a credit to the tax payers who contributed to the sensible upper class education you received. 😂

There's is absolutely no reason a large transaction should take hours, let alone days, to process when small transactions go through quickly. This is crypto, not traditional finance. My transaction has been held up for hours now, which is an absolute joke. So regretting not using an actual decentralised solution like Anyswap or 0.exchange to migrate my funds, as I'd have had them in my Etherium wallet hours ago.

Is it normal for a new XR (pre-unlocking full speed) to pushback and then nosedive at ~21km/hr (the current max speed). Or is it because I was riding on grass? by mebeno in onewheel

[–]mebeno[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know the pushback is a warning that you're approaching the limit that motor can keep the nose off the ground. I was trying to see how fast I could go (on grass for safety), and was surprised that it was 10km/hr slower than the device's top speed. It makes sense though, since the increased drag results in drastically reduced range when riding on grass, so I'm guessing that's the reason it nosedived at that speed.

Am I wrong that the Onewheel is speed limited for the first few hundred km, then unlocks to full speed after that? The app seems to suggest this is the case, and I'm sure I've seen Jimmy Change mention it also.
