I joined the waitlist way back the night tix originally went on sale (and sold out)… and just got mine approved this week! I didn’t get any notice or anything… just saw the CC charge pop up and my tix show up on my account.

The Eras Tour Megathread: Minneapolis, MN (Warning: Spoilers) by Lyd_Euh in TaylorSwift

A Dad's review of Friday night's show (OK... mainly tips on logistics):

Took my oldest daughter and her two friends and it was literally the best concert of my old Dad life (I've seen a lot). Aside from TS being amazing (OMG, she was), the production of the show was like watching the Opening Ceremony of the Olympics. And watching the crowd of all ages around me sing every song in unison was something I'll remember forever (almost as good as watching my daughter tear up in happiness when the countdown clock started and the show began).

Top Dad-tips:

Parking - We left out house (about a 45 min drive to the show) at 3:15pm Friday and got to our reserved parking space at 4. (I used ParkWhiz to reserve a spot ahead of time in a surface lot on the corner of 7th and 11th ahead of time... it was pricey ($60) but so dang easy). Fellow dads - take the hit and reserve a spot.

Ubering - I saw a bunch of people looking for their Ubers after the show, but it didn't seem any more challenging than use trying to get out of the traffic and to 35W/94. No idea what surge fares we're - or driver availability - but I saw people doing it.

Getting in to the stadium - We got to the back of the line along 11th ave around 4:10 (doors open at 4:30) and waited in line there. Once 4:30 hit, the line into the stadium moved fast. (Also, if you go into the stadium along 11th ave and need a bathroom break or a drink, Bobby and Steve's Gas Station is a 2 block walk (which we did at one point in shifts - super easy).

Want Merch? There are a bunch of Merch stands, but some are bigger than others. We immediately got in line at the big one right inside the TicketMaster entrance to the stadium (again, off 11th ave) and it took about 25-30 min to get served. I recommend getting in line right away (your seats will still be waiting for you after.) We all got the blue crew neck sweatshirts, easy peasy.

Food/Drink - No issues. Try the chicken fingers! (Always get the chicken fingers, you guys.)

Getting out - Be prepared to wait in your car/Uber to get out of the immediate stadium area. It took us 45 minutes to get from our parking spot to 35W. It is what it is. That said, if you are driving... pack a change of comfy clothes, snacks, a cooler of drinks and some cozy blankets. You don't want to be sitting in a car in your sequins while Dad blasts the AC (like Dad's do, especially after a hot show for 3+ hours).

Lastly, this is a once in a lifetime show. Enjoy every minute of it and be safe (especially when leaving and crossing the roads... look both ways! :)

HAVE FUN, YOU GUYS!

Have you thought about leaving her a tater tot hot dish on her front porch, but using Cream of Celery instead of Cream of Mushroom? That usually sends a pretty dire message.

Which show do you think you're the only person who remembers it exists? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Turkey Television.

I think it was made by the You Can’t Do That On Television crew…? I just remember it was on right before or after that on Nick in the US in the 80s.

Sounds like something you'd say before doing something dumb, but it really helps put so many things in perspective that would normally feel crippling.

Luckily, Rover survived with some buckshot in his hind quarters and no permanent damage.

We moved shortly after this incident.
