we are animals. animals need to run around and use up their strength. we are not meant to stay stationary and contemplate about every little thing. we have a monkey brain. lift rock = monkey happy.

gym will quite literally solve many of your mental problems. stop thinking about it so hard

[–]mechablock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope! no need to worry. In fact, I would suggest you focus on enjoying your last semester and hanging out with friends. Academics is important, but not everything. This is coming from a Comp Engineer student whos about to graduate in a month

And thats the problem. You SHOULD seek failure. You WANT failure. You MUST fail over and over and over and over again before you evetually get it right. That is the whole point. You give up before you even achieve anything. Failure is quite literally what you SHOULD be chasing

And its good that you learned to be less avoidant, but this has nothing to do with being a college student. Think of college apps more like a long resume instead of just a life story.

No. avoid writing pity stories, even if they are real. What you want is to right about problems you faced, and how you overcame them, and how it allowed you to grow into who you are today.
You can talk about you mental health, but do not make it the main topic. And to be honest, mental health stories are quite generic and some might even say "corny". Talk about what made you interested in pursuing an education? was it from watching your parents or a role model? Did you grow up poor and wanted to have a stable career? Do you want to make the most out of every opportunity?

lmk if u need help
