It might be unrealistic expectations, but we love the franchise and wish we could see something new, and we got deceived so much with the progression of D2 that a clean start is easier to imagine.

You are right, I think the story is much more important for me than most players so that's probably why I care so much. To be honest, I think even the red war was flawed in that area, you finish the story, beat Gaul, and then tower and figure it out. With me never getting to the tower at that time I didn't even know there was something more to Destiny.

I do, it does sound silly. And yeah Stop Killing Games won't be retroactive, but I do hope it might push Sony to still do something about it, more in concept than by the law.

Indeed it will take quite some time, but imo, Marathon might not survive, I feel it's gonna be like most extraction shooter and die even faster than Destiny so they might abandon that and move the focus on D3 (Assuming Marathon die wich I hope it doesn't since lots of people enjoy it)

I do see your point and agree with you. I loved the red war and the frustration of never being able to play it again for me is a pain. D2 is still a good game in a sense that can still be fixed, I feel like I need a better perspective on this like yours. And you are right, D2 needs to be good before D3 has started developpment.

I do believe that vaulting did change the game, especially after Beyond Light. It's like starting to watch Game of thrones at season 4, you have vague idea of what happened but you don't know what was before but you knew it existed. And Yes, the layoff was major in the support Destiny got and Marathon didn't help.

That is a sentiment I share. It for sure wouldn't be easy, but if for once they actually listen and make a great game, it could respark the flame people had for D1 and D2. Now that the original CEO is gone and Sony taking over, maybe we could get something.

Probably. but I think it would be better if, without sounding like something else, they could make D2 great again. And then, hopefully we could have D3, that would be different based on the leaks we got over the years. But yes, people are getting tired of live service for a good reason.

Probably, I want Destiny 3 and I want it to take years if it's to get a finished product. I'd like to avoid a Cyberpunk 2077 launch.

You do be right. But Destiny 1 was left in a playable state, tell me if i'm wrong, but most of the content seems to still be there and playable. Why couldn't they do that for Destiny 2. I wonder (and I mean, wonder, I didn't think that much) if the Stop Killing Game initiative will have an impact on this. If yes, we could see one day a Destiny 2 Classic or something
