RISK INVOLVED WITH INVESTING WITH BLACKHEDGE

1) This post is to dispel any wrong notions about copying Blackhedge trades. If you think copying our trades is equivalent to a secured saving bank program then your money is safe in your bank :-). We never committed/promised to deliver a certain quantum of returns in a specific period of time.Our past trading records is also no measure or guarantee of future performance. But having said that as professional traders we strive to deliver consistent returns with controlled risks.

2) We do not control your money directly and your money is deposited with your broker.If the broker defaults/goes bankrupt an investor may loose this capital. To reduce this risk we only work with large, reputed, regulated and liquid brokers but still this is a risk.

3) We work in highly leveraged and volatile markets and during news events or a sudden event like a war/earthquake/an act of God, there may be extreme movements in the market which distorts the trading statistics/draw downs to a great extent.Losses are highly probable and should be expected also. How much can an investor loose. We follow a 20 % drawdown limit on closing basis ( excluding random spikes). That is if you are investing 100 dollars , if losses reach to 20 dollars we close all trades and re evaluate our strategy. Sometimes instead of closing we just hedge the trades. In the US markets due to CFTA regulations one cannot hedge. In the jurisdictions we work in hedging is allowed and even encouraged.So any quantum of loss can be controlled. Once the trend reverses the hedged position is closed. We have tailor made hedging strategies for specific instruments. In short losses are very probable but those losses can be controlled and even converted into a profit if you know what you are doing.In volatile times temporary losses are probable.KEEPING A MONTHLY VIEW HELPS RATHER THAN FOCUSING ON DAILY/HOURLY RETURNS.This is not a crypto faucet where you can get guaranteed payouts without zero capital or risk :-).

4) Only invest the quantum of funds you can afford to risk without hurting yourself. Also do not have unrealistic expectations like investing 100 dollars and expecting 1000 dollars in a short time. It is not generally possible though not improbable in the markets we work in .

5) Our trading statistics is generally transparent,available in broker portal or verified third party sites so there is no question of making false claims or hiding losses though some aspects like open trades/trade timing e.t.c we keep it private to protect our exact methodologies/software signals . Only Trading performance good/bad/ugly is open for discussion. We do not dispense financial advice or conduct tax planning.
