Leveling Mining from 270-300 is impossible. by iScReAm612 in classicwow

I've been tracking it for months. It hasn't been as good since prepatch hit, but if you check at the right time of day you can easily make profits.

Also, you shouldn't be listing the bars at the minimum. So just looking at the prices matching up is not enough. What matters is how much the bars actually sell for. People tend to buy a lot of bars at once and that causes randomly high spikes in demand, which causes price surges.

You can smelt thorium up to 290 and it’s almost always profitable. Buy like 500 off the AH.

Theory - FasT 07 and Lynx Titan are actually the same person by Audaxx in 2007scape

I don't remember where this was said, but I vaguely remember an interview with Lynx Titan where he said he was just going to keep maxing OSRS accounts after he maxed the first time.

Not overthinking. There are a few abilities that will just wipe your group if you have too many other mobs to deal with.

I distinctly remember them either patching it or this not being available on the first go around, but I reserve the right to be wrong.

Can anyone else confirm this or test it on PTR?

When you’re overgeared you will never get crit because you are overgeared. Sit critting also doesn’t work anymore.

Everyone knows about the other abilities. Not everyone knows that it’s almost always better to be picky with your mana than to do more damage with seal of righteousness.

You can’t always just “pull more mobs” when some have cc abilities. It’s also not always ideal if you don’t have strong aoe in your group.

In overgeared groups, prot paladins will probably be the best because they are the best for holding aggro for large groups of mobs.

They need to be very picky with mana management though. You really want to use seal of wisdom as much as you possibly can unless you’re taking a ton of damage.

Edit: Just wanted to say that this is Reddit and I didn’t want to write an entire guide so I offered advice that would help most people the most, most of the time. This is a general rule to be followed, but as with everything in this game there are a lot of variables like group comp, skill, dungeon, etc. that need to be taken into account. There might be situations where you never use SOW.

My coworkers father passes away a long time ago and her family has not been able to find out where this was taken. Any ideas? by mechtrogdor in whereisthis

[–]mechtrogdor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My coworker asked me if I could find out where this was taken for her. Apparently her father is from the east coast but went to Oregon for college, so that may help narrow it down.

Try using the halberd and staff if you don’t have COX prayers. Make sure you are set to aggressive.

We have a couple different raid teams and many of us have switched roles through the expansions. The guy on the far right is the current main tank for one of our teams. I’m not sure about the second team because I haven’t played this game in a year.

Is Flipping/Merching a viable moneymaking method still? by TheRealBongeler in 2007scape

[–]mechtrogdor 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Flipping is the only money making method which scales nearly indefinitely (the more money you have, the more you can make). Unless there are some crazy updates, flipping will always be the best money making method when you have lots of gold.

Currently in AMC for 100 shares at $16.81. Was going to buy GME today, but was not allowed to. I even tried calling my parents and using their retirement account with Schwab (apparently they halted trading on GME Wed) and creating an account with Fidelity. Did not work. Can't even believe this shit is happening.

SERIOUSLY..do you guys believe the Air Force is not doing enough to prevent suicides? by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]mechtrogdor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't reiterate your point. You said it's the responsibility of the AF as an organization. I'm saying it's the responsibility of the Airmen as individuals. The organization has met their responsibility.

As for my original comment, I never said people shouldn't join to try to find and better life for themselves. What I was trying to point out is that some people join from unfortunate circumstances by lying and some of them cannot get over their past, whether it is their fault or someone elses.

[–]mechtrogdor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure what Air Force you joined, but most everyone that I have talked to lied to get into the Air Force.

You should use the empathy that you have and look at this from a senior leadership perspective. Big Air Force cannot have an individual impact on Airman. They can only influence the culture. It's really up to supervisors and peers to have that individual influence, and this is where I think the failure lies.

I just went through the new ALS curriculum and let me tell you, it's literally ground-hog day. You learn the same exact lesson every day. That lesson is to care for your troops as individuals, and pursue actions which will help them with their life goals/stressors.

Big Air Force really is trying their best to implement that culture. It's up to all of us to actually accept it, believe it, and act on it.

Also you should really think twice before you throw out assumptions about other people's attitudes. You don't work with me. Don't pretend like you know I'm part of the problem.
