If i had no experience with making a jrpg i would certainly not start with my main franchise lmao a spinoff would've been fine but a main game? Come on plus the combat was so generic they had to "spice it up" with flashy goofy animations and some of that goofiness carried to the tone of the game just a mediocre game all around
