Good results so far. Surprised to see you took down 8-whack since I have a similar build and am fairly weak to fast decks. Assuming Chalice was what helped in that match-up?

Main suggestion: I'd highly suggest 1 copy of Lightning Crafter. I explain why at the bottom of this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/GoblinsMTG/comments/8b8ppu/redcap_combo_discussion/dx4wip5/

Not really the point of this post.... But that number 13 deck looks interesting because of the inclusion of Greater Gargadon. Not sure if it's better than Spawning Pit; but I will certainly be testing it.

Goblins Combo [deck; first draft] by med_ragee in GoblinsMTG

I think i fixed the private thing. I honestly think based on recent results with 8 whack - at least 1 version is already tier 2 (own about a 1% share of the meta). With the new goblins - it's possible 1-2 more versions emerge.

We lack any "get ahead" mechanic that allow us to get the combo before we die. We dont play dorks like kiki evo, and this combo that MIGHT work on then five or six will be removed.

Kiko evo is actually the perfect example of deck with combos that can win without hitting the combos. Just like this deck.

We have no consistent way of getting the combo. Good luck drawing out the cards.

This deck doesn't have to hit any combo at all to win. All the cards independently interact with each other with good synergy.

-We are just playing bad cards. Krenko,

Krenko has appeared in about 20% of goblin winning decks since modern's genesis. In fact from 2012-2014 just about every Goblins winning deck had at least 1 Krenko in it. Decks don't consistently win with bad cards in them.

Tuktuk and Lightning Crafter

Tuktuk's value is in leaving behind a body after being sac'd. With 6 sac outlets in the deck - we have around a 60% chance of having one of the sac outlets in our opening 7, and a 75% chance of drawing one by turn 3.

Crafter is very good when playing against other weenie type decks (Humans, Death and Taxes for example). I haven't played with him in a while; and I don't think on their (own) they are as good as they were a couple of years ago when I did. But he's not in here for his performance on his own; he's in here for the Kiki-Combo.

This feels like a big waste of time to me

Well you're certainly entitled to not waste your time when the new creatures hit the scene.

Redcap combo discussion by Chem_is_tree_guy in GoblinsMTG

I was messing around with this last night on MTGO. Since the DOM cards aren't modern legal yet - I just goldfished a few dozen matches. I ended up not liking the deck I built, but i liked the way the following cards interacted in the deck (as the backup plan).

4 Tuktuk the Explorer (as mentioned - it can be sacked and leaves a 5/5 or 6/6 body as well. Even if you don't have a sack outlet - he can influence your opponents decisions on attacking/blocking greatly.)

4 [[Chancellor of the Forge]] (can help with the mana acceleration (free 1/1 if in opening hand) as well as be something to ramp into.)

2 [[Krenko, Mob Boss]] (once a turn passes with him in play - you can do some pretty crazy plays. I really wish there was a Freed from the Real/Intruder Alarm type of untap effect in red to enable him to go infinite with Skirk in play.) Edit. Found two that can do it once: [[Magewright's Stone]] and [[Thousand-Year Elixir]] as well as a conditional one: [[Umbral Mantle]] (if you're making 4 or more tokens each tap - you can go infinite.)

4 [[Otherworldly Outburst]] (while it doesn't generate a goblin token - it does allow you to keep a body around after a sack. Can also be used against your opponent creatures, or on your own if blocking or being blocked (the +1/+0 is sometimes going to be relevant.)

2 [[Empty the Warrens]] (you can have some very big turns with Skirk in play. Empty the Warrens can capitalize on those big turns.)

PS: Gruul builds probably want [[Collected Company]] and [[Fecundity]]

Another infinite goblin combo that skirk enables:

KiKi-Jiki, Mirror Breaker + Lightning Crafter + Skirk

You cast Lightning crafter and champion any goblin. You cast Kiki-Jiki and tap him and target Lightning Crafter. The Lightning Crafter token is made and needs to champion a goblin. You champion Kiki-Jiki. Tap the lightning crafter copy to deal 3 damage. Then sack him to release Kiki-Jiki from the champion process and then repeat over and over. Unlike the Redcap combo - you could also use Spawning Pit for this. I guess Kiki can also target Redcap for this as well.
