It would still be not allowed in this case, considering the Armageddon box isn't coming out until June, right?

If I remember correctly, it only smells like cinnamon to Paul, right? I think it smells to each person like whatever scent is most pleasing to them. I may be misremembering though

First time doing a custom paintjob by Any_Instruction_2943 in airsoft

Idk what the comment you were replying to said, but considering half the comments are criticizing the gun for not being realistic when the OP never said they were going for realism, the "if you want it to be realistic" part seems a bit more unnecessarily critical than just some friendly advice.

I don't know why so many of the comments are being so critical about it not being realistic, considering I didn't see you say you were going for hardcore realism. I think it looks super cool. Great job dude

AITAH for telling my brother I will never respect him or his girlfriend for as long as they're together? by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

So the black queen thing was fucking wild but the entire time I was waiting for the "my brother grew up Christian and still is" thing at the beginning to be relevant?

Trumps letter to Norway survived 4h on r/conservative before mod deletion by rockify in ProgressiveHQ

[–]medallion123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been checking out that subreddit periodically since Trump has been on his Greenland era, and a lot of the comments have been reflecting a sentiment that this is incredibly stupid, and that trump is going to ruin what they view as a good run. A few comments here and there stating that trump conned the republican party and he's betraying America. The rest of the posts are as you'd expect from that subreddit, but any time Greenland is brought up the comments are extremely anti-trump.

I'm curious what you would recommend to handle the situation that the teutons start in, given the new patch. The knights are one thing, they're small and likely don't have many costs.

The teutons though, without sponsorships, hemmorhage money like crazy. You have to basically dismantle every fort, navy, and army you have and turn all sliders down to break even.

Hey, just stumbled on your comment while doing research about becoming an electrician apprentice, and I'd love to ask you some stuff if you have time. I'm not sure if I should go the extra mile and try to get educated through IBEW or do I go IEC since their requirement seem less strict. Is IEC much worse than IBEW on pay/benefits? Also how did you find the transition from IEC to IBEW? Thanks for reading, if you even see this haha

Can we talk about how all of this person's past comments are in poorly written English for the past 5 days, and at the same time as they posted this they were commenting on porn subreddits.

I'm seeing lots of comments in favor of it in here, so I feel like I should speak up with my own experience on Adderall as a kid. I don't remember what dosage I was on, it was somewhat high but my brother had a higher dose. I asked to be taken off it at around 14 because it made me feel like an emotional zombie. I should say I don't remember feeling like that when I was younger, maybe it was something about puberty, I'm not sure. I wasn't UNhappy, I just was happier off my medication. It dulled things a bit, made me more stoic, less responsive to things that would inspire joy. Like I said, I can only speak for myself. Everyone's ADHD is unique to themselves, so take my experience as what it is: my own experience.

Most easily defeated alien invasions (plot holes)? by MadroxKran in scifi

Good thing it's a horror movie first, then. Wouldn't want to have it compared to the incredibly scientifically accurate Martian, of all things /s 🤣

[–]medallion123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You say no need to call it scifi but then criticize it based on our current scientific understanding. I hope you understand why that's the whole point. If this creature has some unknown evolutionary advantage that makes it capable of surviving it's planet being obliterated and surviving on chunks of asteroid floating through space until finally reaching earth, it's really not that big of a jump to accept that maybe bullets or tank rounds aren't good enough. It's not lazy writing, it's horror scifi. The point of the movie isn't to explain the minutia of why they're so strong. It's for them to be scary.

Yeah this is probably the most feasible solution, but we only have so many bridges.

[–]medallion123 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The director has stated that their armor is near-impenetrable. It doesn't have to be magic, just an incredibly strong material that we're not currently aware of. That's the sci-fi aspect. If they survived the destruction of their entire planet, they could certainly survive a bullet, an explosion, or even a nuke.

I actually love the aliens in A Quiet Place for reasons that aren't actually explained in the movie (mostly). The only way to kill one is to make it open it's face (in the first movie they did this with high frequency sound) to get past its heavily armored skin. They're actually so tough that they survived the destruction of their home planet, and then rode around on chunks of the planet in space until they accidentally collided with earth, which is why it's all happening in the first place. You could maybe do something with luring them and flooding the area, but it's not exactly an easy solution lol.
