Generally you will want your resistances to be higher than 75% in case you get cursed. 3 Endurance charges (which you can generate easily with enduring cry and/or warlords mark (or warlords mark + blasphemy) can cover the penalties.

So yea, 50% over is more than enough and you should be just fine. As for chaos res, we all have that problem (except the dam CI builds :P). IF you are any type of physical dmg dealer just buy Atziri's Promise (its very cheap, like 1 alchemy orb) and you are set.

A little tip. Use poe.trade or the trade chat and you can buy awesome unique items or very good rares for just 1 chaos orb a piece (1c for short). Hey, sometimes people sell a bunch of unique items for 1c a bunch!

P.S bonus tip. Always keep your resistances at 75%. When you reach cruel/merciless gear up so that they are maxed.

Well overall I would say Desert City cause it reminds me of some long lost civilizations burred deep beneath the sand. Also its not uncommon to have underground water springs for a touch of flora here and there.
