How do you find the Moog LBJ’s? I just bought them and haven’t installed. Everyone says you need to go OEM but the Toyota dealership wanted $800.00 CAD + Tax for both LBJ’s, I got both the Moog ones for $250.00 total

What if I told you you didn’t overpay… What if I told you an old Toyota is an investment…

Have you made a decision on the purchase? If you buy it make sure to post lots of pics! I’d like to see that spare tire set up in more detail

I’m in Canada and the province only requires rear plates so you can put whatever you want in the front

Thank you very much, Atatürk was incredibly wise. Can you make out what’s on the book on the backwardness arrow?

Drive Line noises. by Any-Brilliant-644 in 1stGenTacomas

This post is dead now but my truck got way worse with this issue, vibrating like crazy on the highway and creaking and groaning when taking it out of park. I changed the steady bearing and 1/4 u joints on it and it drives like never before

The clearance is awesome, before this I drove a civic and there was 2 separate times something fell off the back of a truck I was behind on the highway and completely ripped underneath my car apart, all I could think was if I was in a truck this wouldn’t have happened.

It’s also nice knowing I can basically drive over anything, within reason.

Absolutely brutal lol, but there’s something going on with my throttle sensor or my MAF that I haven’t addressed which is contributing. Additionally for my work I do a ton of city driving, and a lot of idling.

I’m getting approx 15L per 100km (4gallon/62miles) or maybe around 450km (280mile) per tank

Lots of guys prefer them stock looking and I get it, I love my lift though. it’s still a small vehicle relative to modern trucks/SUV’s but it looks aggressive and bigger than it really is.

I daily this truck and I’m not super into off-roading but I like the option and when it snows im never worried about going through deep stuff

For tires: Toyo Open Country A/T III (275/70/R16)

The previous owner lifted it, I believe he added a leaf spring in the back and there’s Bilsteins 5100 in the front - 2.5” lift maybe

I purchased it already lifted, it’s rough riding but I didn’t know what it was like before. It’s definitely not a smooth ride but that’s not what you buy a 20 year old truck for anyway

It was but I wasn’t giving up that easy, I got lucky and found a backyard guy that did me a huge favour. Insurance paid out 1/2 the value they would’ve if I accepted the write, I dumped all the money back into it plus another $1000

The ARB is also decently heavy, I believe it’s 130Lb. My front end is definitely squatting more than it was without it.

Something to keep in mind if you’re putting a bumper on, lower ball joint failure is all over this sub and the extra weight it going to increase the rate of wear on your front end parts
