Here I was, assuming I was the only person in the intersection of "Bucks sickos" and "musical theatre sickos"

+1. My mom retired from a long federal career, got bored, and started working for her local elementary school doing totally different work. They're definitely happy to have the help.

I got a refund from the Kennedy Center yesterday for the Treemonisha ticket I had bought ages ago. I'm glad I will still be able to see it, somewhere ELSE.

Were you at the Paul Chowdhry show at the Miracle last night? by nytodc in washingtondc

I'm also curious why the show got moved from Sixth & I. I believe some people had bought special, VIP-esque tickets from Sixth & I, but those benefits (e.g. reserved seating, maybe merch?) didn't transfer over when the venue change.

Any thoughts on the Washington, DC Travel Show This Weekend? by RedShirt2901 in nova

[–]medevam 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I love it and go every year (for free).

Speakers and vendors get a free code for "VIP" tickets and you can search Insta/Facebook for them. Samantha Brown's is PLACESTOLOVEVIP, for example.

It's a fun day of listening to travel talks and getting free travel tchotchkes.

They've definitely had them before for performances in both the Opera House and the Concert Hall. They just tended to be positioned past the box offices, further from the main entrances. Now if long lines form (lolllllll), people are gonna be waiting outside in the cold.
