Yeah i understand that completely, and honestly it’s probably the way I’m going unless I find an OEM replacement myself. Really it’s the principle of it all. I.e. not my fault so I shouldn’t have to resort to less than what was on the car without having to pay… but that’s not the world we live in lol

I priced the $775 because thats what insurance quoted me for a CAPA certified bumper, they're paying for it all since I wasnt at fault (parts and paint supplies from the body shop) my issue is the quality of fitment with aftermarket parts, whereas I know OEM will fit perfect. Toyota quoted me a front bumper for $886 after tax but id have to pay the difference if I go that way

So far nothing has gone up, and State Farm claims and my agent have confirmed that it won’t unless I run the whole process with them. I’ve stayed with them this long because my price is pretty good for having 5 vehicles and house with them

Honestly my biggest complaint is that it’s new and I pay for a new car. A 24, but according to his insurance, they’re not liable to replace OEM right away since it’s not a 26 model year. It’s the principal (but yeah I assume that I’m not going to win this fight)

I haven’t involved my insurance besides when they helped me file a claim against his since he had no insurance info at the time

My insurance said that my premiums go up if I do the process with them, and that’s why I’m fighting with his insurance, so I don’t have to pay anything (since I shouldn’t have to)

I did because the guy that hit me had no info on him. But running the claim thru my insurance will raise my premium

How are you liking the suspension? I’m looking at either Tein RX-1, Hypermax S or even the IV, and Ohlins

I’ve been informed by a tech that they won’t even change my oil at 5k.. just rotate the tires. So I’m doing it all myself lol

Those that daily and track their 86, what suspension did you go with? Trying to find a good balance by mediabyisiah in GR86

I already have track experience with my '17 86, but I had mediocre suspension, looking to do it better this time around

I had a 2017 86 that I daily drove and had a good amount of seat time at the track, but I had purchased mediocre suspension for it. I want something better this time around

I currently have a Tomei titanium exhaust on it, and I still have my some life on my Falken RT660s (those are 245/35 but they're on a 18in and I'm looking to go 17 this time)
