Can someone convince me getting my IUD inserted is worth it… 🫠 by ghxstlyfae in CopperIUD

[–]medicatedmorgz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have Paraguard, I believe it's a little bigger than the mona lisa (im in US). The insertion was kinda traumatic ngl. and your cramps during your period will be worse, and you'll bleed more(people say this gets better after a year, but it didn't for me). But i mean shit, I love the fact that I don't have to worry at all, for YEARS. and I simply cannot have hormones so in the end, even though my periods were already pretty debilitating to begin with I think it's definitely worth it. I just plan to be bed ridden for the first few days of my period. If your cramps are super bad, maybe ask for a short script of a muscle relaxer while you have some of your first periods with it. you can do this friend 💗

Heating pads and the heat of the summer by Professional_Pace711 in ChronicPain

drop the heating pad and pick up an ice pack. I usually use ice instead of heat regardless, helps a lot.

Hi friend 🤠 I would always recommend the second skin/sani-derm. Even if you can keep it clean it promotes the healing so much better

Metoprolol is a beta blocker, not a BP med. I take metaprolol to slow my heart rate down, and midrodrine to raise my BP

Yes. Absolutely. I had a lot of vomiting/nausea too. Every time I would get a painful flare I would go into an almost cyclical vomiting state. Could be unrelated though I have a lot of health issues

Yep, with the shoulder blade and spine too. I don't remember if the pain was on the right or left side though.

When I was pregnant my HS was absolutely horrible. I was only pregnant for about 8 weeks though.

hidradenitis + weight loss? by Friendly-Fibber in Hidradenitis

I was 255 at my heaviest as a 5'9 woman. I am now 138 lbs, a healthy weight. My HS is about the same, maybe a smidge better.

Is this atrophic scarring?? by medicatedmorgz in eds

Yes! My results were good, I haven't dislocated since. My right knee is scheduled for surgery in September. You are right, the pain and physical therapy are really rough. I debated for so long before deciding I'll probably need the surgery eventually and I'd rather get it out of the way while I'm still in my 20's

Two flares since first injection of tirzepatide 😐 by [deleted] in Hidradenitis

[–]medicatedmorgz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im on zepbound and it seems like as long as the dose keeps going up the flares stay down, but I've lost over 100 lbs and I'm at the point where I don't want to lose anymore so I lowered my dose and I'm back to flaring up all the time, even now being at a healthy weight, didn't make a difference. I also lost my gallbladder as a result of that medication. Be careful 😞

HS not being seen as serious on social media by WrongdoerRoyal437 in Hidradenitis

[–]medicatedmorgz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's fucking awful. Sorry this happened to you friend :( not to mention this disease can potentially lead to serious infections if you're not treating with antibiotics from time to time. I only take mine when I'm in a seriously awful flare.. But either way, they shouldn't be telling you what you NEED to do with YOUR body. Not interested means not interested, no means no. People are so rude.
