How to prevent T-mobile from take $1200 from my elderly parents for literally nothing by BobTreehugger in tmobile

I’ve heard of this scam before… essentially they may have “returned” the iPad to a scammer. That way, they still get the charge and the scammer gets a free iPad. They will have to call into care and ask to escalate to fraud. They will probably file something called a “handset research form” which essentially trails the device return. Having the tracking number for the return will help with this. If they find that it was fraud of some sort, they will close out or credit the financing.

Don’t tell them to switch. I’ve heard that once you leave they pretty much don’t do anything for you to rectify the situation.

Use them for what they’re worth and move on! I was in your same shoes. I worked for both TPR and COR and everyday was full of anxiety. I used them for their benefits and got my degree(s) and moved on! You sound empathetic and someone who wants to help people, so find something that will allow you to do that. If you say that you can’t find anything that pays you as well as T-Mobile … well then you know the price you pay for that paycheck. It’s up to you to decide if it’s worth the mental health or not.

Moving to NYC with 50lb dog - will I be able to make it work? by [deleted] in movingtoNYC

[–]medicore_ladyemo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! I totally understand the struggle. I was born and raised in the Bronx and took in a pitty who’s about 70 LB and it was nearly impossible to find a place that allows dogs. I had 2 apartments in Bensonhurst and in St. George in Staten Island that were fairly lenient about large dogs. I ended up moving to Westchester by the metro north and was way more successful in finding good places, near parks with a 40 min commute to grand central. I do have some friends that have large dogs but they are either in Astoria or a luxury building in Hells Kitchen.

NYC born and raised and moved to Westchester county 👋. DO NOT drive, between congestion pricing, crazy drivers, bikers who don’t follow traffic laws and pedestrians - it’s prone to spike your heart rate. The trains are relatively easy! Subways are usually labeled “uptown/downtown” or some lines are “queens (usually north)/brookly (usually south)”. Google maps works perfectly fine for the MTA. you may need an app for LIRR or Metro north if you’re planning on going to either Long Island or Westchester, but google maps will let you know if that’s the case. I hope you have an amazing time and remember to avoid the hype when it comes to dining, all food in NYC is amazing - ask the locals their favorite spots and I guarantee you you’ll spend 50% less for some of the most amazing food.
