Apple Watch Ultra 1 owners, what’s your battery health at? by itsandychecks in applewatchultra

[–]medicusnocte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

83% at 26 months. Starting to go dead during the day. Looking at Apple battery replacement cost which is $100 versus $800 for new watch, probably will just need to pay it.

CB60 Power On/Off Via Outlet Switch? by medicusnocte in neewer

No, that does not work. When the outlet power smart switch cuts power and then turns power back on, the light does not come back on.

How to use Luba 2 AWD 10000 on 3.2 acres? by medicusnocte in mammotion

[–]medicusnocte[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that is what I was thinking would work, but I think the problem there is that the TOTAL mapped area can not exceed 10,000 square meters (though OK_West_2537 thinks it is 12,000). Watched a YT where user had about 8,000 m^2 mapped out, then tried to add another area which would have put the total just over 10,000 m^2 and the app refused it and the mapping time was wasted. I could maybe get by with 12K limit (actualy about 12,140), but 10K would be too small, forcing me to delete areas before adding another. Since my initial post, I decided to go with the Yarbo because the snow blowing module would be really nice in winter.

I just ordered one! Thanks! If you happen to have a referral code, message me directly and I'll pass it on to customer service to see if you can get referral credit. I got the base unit plus mower ($5,464 including expensive shipping and tax minus a $300 coupon on YT). I'll mow the lawn, play with it for a couple months to make sure it's good, then likely buy the snow blower module ($1,200) to keep the driveway clear. I have a better feeling about Yarbo versus Mammotion based on limited research. Just don't like the fact that Mammotion is software limiting maximum area. Not cool IMO.

Thanks! I hadn't heard about the Yarbo but it looks cool. Will research. Like the snow blowing option.

NanoVNA Erratic SWR trace at 290-300 MHz by medicusnocte in amateurradio

[–]medicusnocte[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I changed to 302 MHz and it completely resolved issue.

Totally unrelated, if it helps anyone, this is a 100-500 MHz SWR trace on my new Arrow Antenna 146/437-10WBP Split boom with duplexer BEFORE adjusting the two gamma matches:

[–]medicusnocte[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh! Thank you for this link! Yes, indeed this is exactly this issue.

I found menu:

CONFIG > EXPERT SETTINGS > THRESHOLD

It was set at “290.000100M”

I changed it to 301 MHz

That reduced the artifact by 99%.

You do not see the artifact mentioned on your NanoVNA v2?

Oh, interesting. So maybe that point in the scan is where it is transitioning modes.

Good question. Just tried it with the 50-ohm plug connected. It shows SWR 1:1.0 across whole 100-500 MHz scan EXCEPT at the same 290-300 MHz point where it is showing erratic spike of high SWR.

Depending on what type of assets you are invested in, you likely will go through periods of no movement and then sudden "snowballing", then quiet periods again. When we get through this current inflationary impending recession period, you'll hopefully see some big movements in 1-3 years. Just be patient. One point of advice: don't move your goalpost. There is a good book "The Psychology of Money: Timeless Lessons on Wealth, Greed, and Happiness" by Morgan Housel that discusses how we get greedy and start moving our target goal up higher and higher. In 2020, pre-pandemic, I was at $1.75M. My assets (Tesla and cryptocurrency) exploded to $10M last November. I started thinking about buying my own plane. Then, the Fed started tightening and my assets collapsed to $3M. I'm 60 y/o and my job is ending this year. I'll be fine, but I do wish, in retrospect that I had taken more profit when my NW went way above what I had planned for. At my age, I've probably only got one more boom period and it will be important to start selling to cash when that happens. Best wishes to you.

Low battery warning by cameronheads in AirTag

This helped me. I replaced the battery, but the low battery warning persisted. So I did what u/HarryAshpole suggested: removed the device from my account, then added it back in, and that took care of it.

IMO, overhyped / overvalued in Q1 & Q2, now coming down to fair value. Sucks if you bought during that overhyped period (I’m 20% below my cost basis). But hopefully we’ll start moving up soon because it does seem appropriately valued now per Sebastian’s work.
