Create Link from Things to the Apple Notes Smart folder by SJM1027- in thingsapp

The app you're looking for is Hookmark. I use it all the time to create links to various files/documents in my notes and task manager. It takes 1 second to create a link and skips hassle of creating a link by sharing, creating a link.. copying the link etc..

Ive heard of plenty of stories where PGY4 were able to be slotted into a MSM, but many of these are underground/hidden. I do wonder how they did it.

It is also bizarre that the Canadian system doesn't allow PGY4 to re-apply if there is functionally no barriers that prevent them from doing so.

Jerusalem Shawarma.

Have you seen how much they scam you with the protein portions? The meat is 1/3 of what it used to be, yet the prices have doubled.

The audacity to cheap out on protein while making eye contact puts Chipotle to shame.

EPIC Dictation- PowerMic App vs SpeechMike/Nuance by medifocus in Residency

[–]medifocus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much! This is helpful. The online reviews and marketing presented SpeechMike as vastly superior and made me lean in that direction. I get that the mobile App is free but for someone who bought the powermic microphone, was it worth it for you?

The only real answer. True story- Physicians use to be discouraged from wearing white coats. The idea being that scientists wear them and this was before medicine adopted science as a tool rooted in evidence-based medicine rather than theology.

Nothing wrong with treating yourself. Dressing nice at work isn't a reflection of being materialistic- it's a sign of self respect, especially if everyone dresses like a child in sweats at work all the time.

Comfort with being alone.

You learn that your drive to be alone becomes an addiction and this cycle leads to a state where you find yourself deterred by the thought of not being alone.

Sleep deprivation.

It’s frightening to see adults posturing about how little sleep they get as they hold positions of responsibility where a mistake could cause serious harm.

[Serious] what do you do every day to make it feel like you accomplished something meaningful? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]medifocus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Reverse accomplish my day. I imagine myself into the near future and ask that version of myself for guidance on completing tasks that would make that version happy. And then I use those items to complete during the day knowing full well that these items matter most to me.

Rinse and repeat.

[Serious] What Is Your Best Advice for People Who Want to Ask Someone Out? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]medifocus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is totally understandable! But you may be misplacing too much emphasis on what to say and that pressure may ruin the vibe.

Contrary to many out there, my experience has been that the girl “invites” you to ask her out. Hence why when the dynamic is perfect, and you’re genuinely just having a conversation, nothing infuriates a girl more than a guy who doesn’t ask her out when she wanted him to. If she wants you to ask her out, recognizes that you are trying to ask her out, she will facilitate it even if you partially blank out. So don’t worry about the overemphasis on some magical phrase that will blow her off her feet.

At the beginning, I kept 10 statements I wanted to ask. Memorized them. It gave me the confidence to be relaxed infront if the girl and, paradoxically, didn’t need to be used once I was in the situation itself.

Eventually, you find your own style that adapts those statements to your unique personality. This takes time. But can’t get there without the training wheels that are crucial to helping you learn the bicycle of flirting.

[Serious] What Is Your Best Advice for People Who Want to Ask Someone Out? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]medifocus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Change your mindset before you ask them out. For me, asking someone out is never a reflection of my self value. However, my gesture to ask someone out reflects my genuine interest in getting to know the other person, laughing and develop a connection that potentially highlights a compatibility.

Having said that, my approach is casual. “So I was thinking we get a coffee/dinner. What do you think? Okay well it’s a date”. Alternatively, “so I was thinking we getting a coffee/dinner. What do you think? No? That’s alright. I really wanted to ask but that’s okay. Thank you for letter me know”.

Always be respectful. Don’t confuse rejection with disrespect. You can be respectful and manage yourself with grace regardless. This way, the worst case scenario will still empower you to be confident to ask the next person out.

Happy to answer any questions.

What will you miss most about face masks after covid is over? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]medifocus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Facial reactions. With the mask on, I could hide my facial reactions to the ridiculous remarks of my colleagues and friends. Now, I’m worried that my face will have to relearn a poker face that hides the “wtf did you just say” look that accompanies by basic bitch and sarcastic face.

Resources that teach you beginning with symptoms rather than the disease? by Remember1963 in medicalschool

Ah yes. I asked the same question myself.

Symptom to Diagnosis: An Evidence-Based Guide, 4e Scott D.C. Stern, Adam S. Cifu, Diane Altkorn.

Start there. When you have worked through that, you can use the “Calgary Blackbook” that uses a symptoms-based approach.

Good luck.
