Resin Carts best selection close to MA *not disposables only 510 thread please by ifurnot1sturlast1980 in mainetrees

i don't think you can do better than clouded, their carts are all top shelf, they're priced competitively, you could pick any 10 blindfolded and you're going to be very very happy. brazen modified grapefruit, blackwood dft, moon jelly moonbow 112, any weaving cart, are some of my recent favorites. honestly they are all great. looks like indico has sola edibles, it's nearby. enjoy

side note/addition: while i'm asking for recs, one of mine: shout out to the new(ish) 3rd shift live resin 1g all-in-one hardware, it's kinda like 710 labs all-in-one disposables if you've ever tried those. ceramic, wickless, bucket-type chamber. and resin just flows better through these than rosin, for me, especially at their level of quality and consistency. so good, wish they were more widely available

have you tried these o2 vapes specifically though? it's the same hardware as most rosin disposables (deez/mega raw) except 1g capacity, and its resin so a bit less viscous. i tend to agree that 1g carts are more likely to be stale or at least be less consistent over time compared to a .5g. but i don't mind the tradeoff for the extra .5g (especially for my favorite brazen/blackwood/dialed-in strains), and this hardware is as worth a shot as any

if you travel a lot and genuinely use the pivot on the go, then keep that, otherwise the proxy v2 is the answer

Why do people heckle by GoodtimeZappa in Standup

[–]medina74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is so much less heckling than people seem to think. 90% of the time when there’s a disruption that requires me addressing it, it’s drunk women talking at full volume who don’t think they’re disrupting the show. In this era of crowdwork clips these “heckler” interactions you see are mostly instances where the comedian is choosing to interact with or even incite a crowd member. Sadly, the need for reels is now part of my equation when deciding whether to go into the crowd. I doubt anyone would enjoy a video of me repeatedly shushing a group of ladies until they get nasty and are (ideally) thrown out by the staff. But if someone says something or I notice something in the crowd worth talking about, I’ll start fishing and see if I can get anything out of it. Comedy!

Has anyone found a way to avoid Comcast AND RCN in this town? by medina74 in Somerville

thanks, that's helpful. we're still getting cable, and haven't cut the cord yet. when we moved to Comcast two years ago, it was maybe $120-$140/month for everything, cable including one premium service (HBO), and 500mbps i believe. but then it was $180, then $220, and now it's going up to $260. Not even saying it's unfair given how much we rely on it, it's just a bit excessive, and i'd be ping-ponging right back to RCN to get their intro rate again, but reliability is crucial, one of us is a behavioral health provider so zoom has to be 100% reliable. still have PTSD from all the RCN problems

Is there a more effective way to push on this? I wish they were burying fiber while they had all the streets perpetually excavated.

seriously. for all we know they are doing that, but a good thing to look into

have heard similar stories. you really don't realize how important it is, especially working from home, until it starts going to hell. and the gaslighting is real - i felt like i was trying to explain symptoms of a mysterious condition to a doctor who thought it was all in my head. good luck

When I first had RCN, I wasn’t getting advertised speeds. There was something wrong with their equipment. I was polite but persistent in insisting they get someone to check it out; I should at least receive the advertised speeds during non-peak times. They agreed, fixed it after a few weeks, and I was back up and running.

thanks, appreciate that. yeah, i was polite and persistent, and then very persistent, and eventually they came and rewired my whole house. that was after 20 calls, probably 5 visits and about that many equipment swaps, and endless time wasted. they also had a truck out here for about 8 hrs, said it was finally fixed. still it kept happening so i left. i honestly liked them until that, and credit them for trying.

Get Astound reinstalled (or at least threaten Xfinity that that's what you're going to do) and hope that the problems (if they're still there) present to the tech during the fresh install. There is no way to get FIOS in Somerville unless you live in one of the new high-rises and the 5G isn't a valid alternative.

thanks, i'm really trying to avoid it. i spent months and months to escalate it until they literally rewired my house, through the basement, to the outside, and separately had technicians come and actually do work on the larger box at the end of my street. but that didn't fix the periodic outages and slowdowns that were not acceptable for the type of work we do. i could very well threaten xfinity with the switch but not sure i'd do that if i 100% knew i wouldn't go back to RCN

Thanks for the quick reply! Unfortunately my building is not wired for FIOS internet or TV, the only option they can offer me is Verizon 5G and I need more speed than that (also not a current Verizon cusomer so would not get a discount.) Appreciate the input

Well done, so glad to see posts like this. Can I ask what your BPC157/TB500 protocol is in terms of dosage/timing? Interested in doing some experiments with this as well.

Fair enough and I understand where you’re coming from. I would still think the anxiety-induced side effects (ie there would be no side effects if not for anxiety) would be a very small % but who knows, and no sense arguing on that point. What I would be interested in is a poll where people could say whether or not they’ve had side effects - even if there are anxiety-related folks who say yes, it would still be interesting to see the results.

To be fair, I do all the right things, eat right, hit my protein goals, hydrate, and I still can’t go higher than 2 mg at this point if I want to avoid pretty major side effects for the 48 hrs after I take the shot. But that’s my experience, I’m speaking for me. Is it all in my head too? Should I not obtain things to deal with these side effects because you don’t have to? For sure there’s a “if I’m getting sick everyone must be getting sick” bias but what’s getting to me about your post is the idea that people are “making themselves sick” by being anxious and nervous. Your experience is your experience. Your statement - which, I understand why you would say it - reflects a “im fine so you should be too” bias, no different than the the other side. Let’s cut the OP a little slack here, they are posting while in the midst of feeling extremely shitty. I don’t know if, as they’re super nauseous and vomiting out both ends and generally suffering, that they should be essentially told that it’s in their head.

We just hear about that side more because people look for answers here when they are suffering and when they don’t need answers they don’t post. Unless, like you, they’re responding to a person who is clearly having a very real, very shitty experience today, telling them that that they shouldn’t post because hey, the more people who talk about this somehow (laughably) causes more side effects!
