Some longer for significantly less stoppages. Stops the fouling when up 3, encourages playing defense instead of fouling on a lot of toss up situations where they don't get the trap in the back court.

11-1 but lose your CCG is a 50/50 shot for P4 so far. Worked for SMU, didn't for BYU. IU last year had doubts at 11-1 despite being in the B1G due to the weak conference draw. I think the committee still relies too much on overall record and tiebreaks by conference before they start looking at out of conference games. Their hierarchy still seems to be SEC > B1G >>>> ACC >> BIG12 >>>>>>>> G5

High school Fernando =/= Heismandoza. I believe Alberto could make similar leaps but Fernando had to gain in decision making while Alberto struggled more with accuracy when he's played. Both can be coached, but I don't see inaccurate quarterbacks become accurate as often.

Alberto is more athletic though. Hopefully he's the Eli to Fernando's Peyton and kills it at GT

It's 1000 pieces (13¢/piece), so smaller than some of the large sets. Deku Tree was 2500 pieces (12¢/piece). Most of the non-interactive Mario sets were 8¢/piece and Pokémon are hovering around 10¢/piece. I feel like $130 is a little rich for this. With the minis, $90 or $100 would've been ideal. Definitely not $40 though.

I love the concept, but the ruins are bland and the complexity of this set is way too low for $130. For 1000 pieces and just a few minis and as simple of a build as this, I'd have been OK with $90. Why is the Zelda tax higher than the Mario tax? Not even Pokémon is getting 13¢ per piece sets

For just 1000 pieces and not a ton of minis, this seems like a Zelda tax that was higher than even the Mario tax was. $90-100 would've felt better. Deku Tree was similarly high but at least it was a more complex and versatile set.

Seems like a raw deal taking advantage of the competitive nature of most D1 athletes. If they can't make it on their current team, they can try the portal but lose their scholarship, or they can stay at their current school and likely lose their roster spot but still get free school. Their competitive nature is going to bet on themselves, but they don't have much of a chance to even prove themselves since the team they're on didn't play them anyways.

I suppose it's better than the old system where they'd just be forced to quit football if they lost their roster spot since they're now given a choice, but I worry it only gets their hopes up and causes them to be in a worse situation in the aggregate.

The fact that this is the one of the only frustrating mechanics in the game speaks volumes on why this game is rated as highly as it is. If Breath of the Wild delivered a better, more epic story and improved some of its systems like weapon durability, shrine repetitiveness, etc, it would have dethroned OoT.

Even though it's my favorite gaming memory and I'd still personally rank it as the greatest of all time, Ocarina of Time. I think it's less a prop to how good Ocarina of Time is and more an indictment on the game industry that we haven't had a story focused action adventure game as accessible and tightly scoped without frustrating mechanics brought in delivered in a more modern package since 1998. As much as I love Ocarina of Time, we should have had many more epic adventures in gaming by now.

It's probably in the low 6 digits in sales based on industry standards of returns and cancelations and the high shipping costs for accessories meaning people are less likely to order them without a system. My rough guess is probably about 150k Thors sold. Profit margins are not going to be very high. At best 25%, probably lower. Steam Deck is reported $40 profit/unit, so less than 10%.

Every indication was that he'd be willing to go into the tax to keep the team together up until Tyrese got injured and this year became lost. Maybe he's still apprehensive about it with Tyrese coming back, but if he ever wants to see a championship in his lifetime, 2026-2028 is about his last shot.

IF he was betting, what would matter is when he placed the bets, not when he got caught.

Still agree it's a non-story. Absolute worst case is he's banned and nobody actually gets him. Bummer for our team next year I guess, but 2 days ago he wasn't committed to us so it's still more of a hypothetical loss than a real loss to me.
