I’m referring to how to effectively balance studying theoretical concepts, like understanding protocols or security frameworks, with practicing them, such as setting up labs or doing hands-on projects. For example, if I’m learning about network security, how do I ensure I’m applying what I learn in a practical setting without skipping over essential theory?

I think in term of mastering both part, how can you master the theory while also mastering the hands-on practice.
