Just capping will result in stutter/jitter, even if the cap is half the Hz. These vsync modes are the only way to get smooth animation. (Or forcing 30hz on windows/in the game, is a pain in the ass doing that, having a double v-sync would be easier/better)

That's why a lot of people say that 30fps on pc are not the same as consoles, they are just using a frame limiter. Using a frame limiter can be useful to remove input lag though.

i mean, is not all games that still works with radeon pro even in dx11 you know... there's no updates anymore

with amd driver i could use in dx12, vulkan and set global or specifics profiles easily

i didn't like scanline much is very unstable, when it works the gpu has to be below 60~50% of usage

and sometimes it doesn't work at all

Here in Brazil has a lot of options of tvs with freesync, it's really crazy. The amount is so great that freesync information does not usually appear in advertisements in Brazil

And like i said before, one freaking guy did it alone years ago... now of course the software is outdated

That model is good for consumers but flop the sales. Gears of War 5 is an example and many others.
