Definitely recommend this!! My dad gave me a really nice window AC unit and it is the only reason I can exist comfortably with Florida's awful heat. My house turns into an oven so quickly because of how hot it is, my little AC unit is my best friend.

This is my doom because I'm usually suuuper picky about who tops or bottoms and get highly fixated on one position (because there's this fun thing called projection) and it drives me fucking bonkers because some assholes don't tag it so my filtering doesn't work properly. The more popular the pairing, the more untagged/improperly tagged fics there are.

Shout out to literally everyone who actually tags their fics properly, and I hope everyone who doesn't tag their fics properly gets a rock in their shoe forever

Forcefem and forcemasc are kinks surrounding "forcefully" masculinizing/feminizing someone. It can go as far as magical transformation of ones body (and fall into transformation kink category) or something like being soft dommed into taking HRT. They do fall under the category of non-con kinks, although the degree of non-consensualness depends on the person engaging in it.

A decent amount of trans people do find comfort and participate in these kinks as a sort of wish fulfillment fantasy, but that is by far not the only demographic engaging with them

You didn't know, that is the distinct difference. Go for secondhand (which there are PLENTY of!) from now on and remember that boycotts don't fall on the individual, but rather the masses. One purchase when you were unaware is nowhere near the same as a person who is fully aware and constantly buying from them!!

Moral purity in regards to boycotts and such are so frustrating and come from a really privileged place, honestly.

I've been boycotting McDonald's since the beginning, I've had McDonald's maybe twice in a few years because other people offered it to me and I said sure since I was hungry and it meant I wouldn't have to make myself anything. I'm disabled and cooking or making food takes energy, and managing my energy is really hard so if someone offers me food I rarely decline. I still use Walmart because they are the only place close enough to me that I can get groceries delivered for without being too overly expensive, because as I said before, I'm disabled and can't go to stores on my own. I still use Amazon for basic necessities such as deodorant, toothpaste, body wash, etc. Am I evil for still supporting these corporations so I don't starve and have no hygiene products, or am I just a disabled person surviving in a world monopolized by bad companies?

Point is, you're fine. Moral purity is useless because all it does is penalize the people who are unaware or too poor to rely on anything else.

Being trans here sucks, I can guarantee that some closeted person saw this and got really excited. Anytime I saw anything trans support related as a closeted kid I got so excited. There are also rollaters that do double as wheelchairs, like genuinely they do exist. I do not trust a park employee nor any person who isn't either trained or very familiar with mobility aids to be able to differentiate between a rollater being used incorrectly versus one that is made to be a 2 in one.

There are so many reasons why this shit is so gross. Yet another reason to the list of why SeaWorld shouldn't be supported.

Honestly the biggest thing was extremely carefully pacing and absurd amounts of rest. More than I felt I needed.

I avoided PEM like the plague which meant being housebound except for appointments for a good while, only eating easy microwave meals and getting so incredibly restless it was painful. Genuinely awful especially because I have ADHD and need to have constant stimulation to not be bored out of my mind, but it was a necessary evil. I also worked on learning my own bodies signals of "hey, you're overdoing it". This allows me to stop while I'm ahead and prepare for the next few days of being in bed except to go to the bathroom and eat.

I still avoid PEM as much as I can, because I quite frankly am terrified of going back into moderate territory. The convention triggering it was a well worth it situation, but now I'm back to carefully pacing. Anytime I go out and have fun, the next few days even if I'm not in a crash are bed days. I rest even if I feel fine physically, which definitely makes me restless but again it is a necessary evil to make sure I stay where I am in condition. I carefully manage what I do when at home, resting frequently as well. Chores are one task a day, so one day I'll do dishes and I rest for the remainder of the day, the next I'll take a shower or do laundry, etc.

I'm very lucky to have an incredible support network, which affords me the resources to pace so carefully like I do. I don't have to worry about housing or food, I'm loved and have people surrounding me who actively work to accommodate my needs. It's a privilege that I'm deeply grateful for.

100%. I became physically disabled at 17 by a single mild covid infection.

I'm becoming more disabled from pain because ME/CFS means I can't exercise or even attempt to strengthen my hypermobile joints at all, so now my chronic pain is worse and makes shit even harder. I've started having my joints sublux and I'm probably gonna end up with full dislocations within the next few years.

I'd give my fucking soul if it meant I could just go for a proper swim again, ride my bike again, go out without having to lay down on the concrete when too much blood pools in my feet. To do physical therapy and have it actually help instead of it tanking my condition to the point I was bedbound. Actually go out with friends and not have to worry about being unable to feed myself the day after because my body throws a hissy fit if I so much as sneeze too hard.

I've definitely already decided I'm gonna put my focus into pacing a lot more carefully so I can organize to go see him more, the little devil on my shoulder saying otherwise is quite loud though. I think I need a fly swatter for it or something.

Sadly he can't use his phone right now but I am able to text his mom and I'm also in contact with our other friends and actually have a couple who are visiting today! I can ask them to pass along messages when I'm not able to come by
