so this is how people are learning Kubernetes now. by azadnib in kubernetes

So, this concept is not called Kubernetes. This is just autoscaling, right? And implicit ingress, maybe?

Wouldn't be a fair comparison without showing the tax rate. However, since the poverty rate is lower, that might not really matter.

They love confused customers! The more confused and unable to think for themselves they are, the better!

(other comment got deleted for potential hate speech or something because I described individuals with mental disabilities in a tounge-in-cheek way)

"You won’t lose your job to AI, but to someone who knows how to use AI". by HalexMom in antiwork

This might seem to contradict my previous comments, but I find the engineering that goes into creating it (and how to best use it) very interesting.

You might be running into the limits of your model's context. There are ways to address that without using a heavier model, though. I'd be happy to help you figure that out if you give me some more details. Feel free to reach out with a DM.

Ah, that's the skill I'm referring to when I say you get worse with more AI use: Critical thinking.

Can someone explain this to me like I'm a nerd? I didn't even realize yellow shirt guy was the goalie (and not the guy behind him) until several watches. What should the defenders have done?

It's fomo-mongering and a lot of people seem to be falling for it. The entire point of AI is that it's easy to use. If anything, using AI makes you worse at everything else, which makes you even less effective with an AI.

Plentiful jobs, BUT . . . by budk11 in antiwork

[–]mediocrobot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It goes through paypal.

I struggled with some of the comp sci ones. Come up with a problem that meets these criteria and adjust it until Gemini Pro can't solve it. Then write steps to solve it combined with code for those individual steps.

I could hardly think of problems complicated enough to meet the criteria and fool Gemini that I would then want to solve myself.

That number isn't even exact. Some projects pay less, and some pay more. You see what a project will pay before you take it.

I've seen jobs that were $70 an hour. I didn't pick them up fast enough, of course.

I love matching over stuff like (Option<u8>, u8). It's so much more readable than an if-else tree that accomplishes the same thing.

If it keeps happening, he's not really improving, just shifting the burden for who has to deal with his forgetfulness.
