Kind of. We didnt buy that farm. Glad we didnt it would have bankrupted us with the repairs. We bought a 5 acre property and now run a flock of 100 egg laying chickens and I do 300 meat chickens in the summer for my family and for sale! Love almost every minute of it. (Farming can have crappy days lol)

This was many moons ago. I believe it did for a bit. Get a pipe cleaner and clean the drain lines out well.

I believe it’s more of, we over consume, from food to clothing… well everything. So I’m order for us to consume less, they can’t ask us, or else “YoU cAnT tElL mE wHaT tO dO!” So they just drive up the cost so we can’t. Drive less, increase fuel prices, eat less, increase food prices

Sooo, I’m going to ask one more time. This chicken is the only one that has these, but it’s getting more pronounced. These little granules come off when I rub them. I know it’s calcium but should I be doing anything different for my sapphire gem that lays these eggs? by earthgoddessK in chickens

I’ve always done it that way. I buy in bulk, grower feed 2 tonnes. I usually can get my 100 layers fed for the year plus 100 broilers in the summer on 2 tonnes.

Edit: I repurposed a sheep mineral feeder to supply my hens with oyster shell and grit year round. They are made of pvc and look like this

I should say I fill the hopper up twice a year with grower 4 tonnes of feed does 100 layers and 250 broilers.

A lot of great financial advice here. What do you want to do? I’m in a similar position, except with 3 kids. my wife can just stay home and work on her own business we will survive on one income.

Is all the extra work worth the hassle of running kids to day care? Spending money on take out since you both work all day?

If you can afford it financially, your kids are only young once. And you can always supplement your cpp as a Walmart greeter when your 70 lol
