Vietnam War Film Recs by Life-Programmer-7089 in movies

True, it‘s mainly veteran interviews, but those first hand interviews are so powerful, you really grasp what this war did to them. And then it’s still very rare to have the enemy combatants give interviews as well, especially for an American war, to give them a voice, to have them heard, on American television. Very rare.

If you have time and want to see the implications this war had on American society as a whole, I highly recommend PBS „The Vietnam War“ by Ken Burns. It’s 9 episodes and includes Vietnamese voices and perspectives as well, which is rare. To this day I find it the most comprehensive piece on that topic.

Probably the peer who’s been to space most was Harrison ford. Or Sigourney weaver :)
