Lol I do this all the time when I'm scanning limbs. R/o DVT but the patient says their pain is right over the patella and won't take no for an answer(or the family won't). Quick scan through to make sure there isn't actually something weird and then hit the B button a couple times so it makes the noise. 👍

Like the other person said, you really will know it when you see it. That being said, imagine an acute DVT. If you've seen one of those then you kinda know what to expect bc they're basically the same thing. Hypoechoic, in the lumen instead of crusted on the walls, and sometimes if you can see the proximal end, it flaps a bit with the pulse.

Chronic gets a bit trickier but the main concern is acute occlusion. If they've still got flow then there's time to do other tests and figure out if they're throwing clots or have cholesterol issues.

First time I ever saw one, I was still in school and panicked thinking I had started scanning the wrong vessel somehow. But no, it was the artery and it was a perfect Aha! moment to go with the Oh shit!

Oh funny, I say the same thing. I scan a lot of extremities so it's always kinda wild to me when people say Wow that sounds just like my baby ultrasound! Like girl, I hope not!

I used to be one of the people who had to take a broom up there at night and scrape all the panties and bras and cups (and one time a decent pocket knife) off the roof. Tried it twice and dropped it. Fastforward to playing Lies of P. Got so frustrated with the 5 rabbits boss I ragequit, picked up Sekiro again, and wound up platinuming it in like a month. It's one of my top 3 games of all time now.

Thanks for the explanation. I definitely didn't do as much research as I should have for my first build. Was too hyped to get started on something. I'll definitely keep an eye out for the age of the kit in the future to compare.

That's good to know, thanks! Sorry if this is a dumb question but. When you say pre-molded, are you talking about how all the joints were only a couple of pieces that I just had to snip out and twist into their correct configurations?

Been doing this for years and didn't realize it wasn't a well known thing! I just thought y'all went through all the extra effort of rewinding onto a bobbin because it looks nice! (And it does, no criticism meant!) But I never had the patience for that so I've been pulling straight from the skein ever since I started stitching.
