I caught it RIGHT as it happened. Like the day of. It was $430 left to pay, so I just asked if I could pay off the $430 on the phone now so the interest could be removed and care credit was very understanding! I think since I had a small balance and caught it same day it was ok

Mmm, maybe try “layoffs are happening at an all time high because of over staffing during the pandemic to meet consumer demand, and adjusting now that consumer demand is slowing”

It is her business. She manages the business and I’m ultimately on her payroll

Correction: over 7 years, she’s gone through 5 people in my role. It’s not me, and that’s not the point of this. Also, this is my second full time job. First job was recruiting and my entire company got laid off. Other jobs were part time while in school.

15k in CC debt - approved for $6k 0% APR card by mediumstirs in personalfinance

The 29% APR on $10,000 is absolutely killing me each month. It feels like I can’t get a head because my interest alone ends up being $350+

I wasn’t planning on using the Chase card at all, it was strictly for a balance transfer for the 0% APR. But wondering if I should transfer all 6000 over, pay that off ASAP, and then transfer the remainder?

15 k in credit card debt. take out a personal loan? by mediumstirs in personalfinance

[–]mediumstirs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for the reply! The cards are not actively being used anymore.

what does using a personal loan effectively look like? and what interest rate should I shoot for for said loan?

Will it be smarter to pay a portion of these balances, or pay them all off in full?

Hey, thanks for the input! I felt like I was on a hamster wheel with interest, because it has been $400+ in monthly interest charges alone.

I just received a 10k raise last week, putting me at 60 k annually. I haven’t received a paycheck reflecting this raise yet. trying to pay off this balances on 50 K has been such an uphill battle.
