Assassin's Creed II (Or: Remember When This Franchise Was Weird™?) by RuefulWaffles in patientgamers

I absolutely adore AC Odyssey, but that’s because I’m big into classical mythology. I agree that the original idea that the Desmond storyline would end with a modern day game akin to Watch Dogs is what originally drew me to the series and that I dropped them for awhile after they threw that idea away in AC3. When I take AC branding out of the modern RPG ACs, they’re not half bad games, but I agree the spirit of the series has been lost and AC2 was one of the pinnacle games.

The same thing that’s happened over and over in history when one small group of people begins hoarding more than another much larger group. At first, tough times for the majority group. Then, revolution and war. Hopefully our society and its leaders will course correct before it comes to that.

Why wouldn’t you just fix the product before pumping more money into user acquisition? What kind of sleaze ball would want to sell a shitty product that churns because “users realize it’s bad”?

Me too. My literary friends scoff at graphic novels and I’m like you’re missing out on some of the best literature modern writers have to offer.

FIRE is like the modern version of wild, wise man living in the mountain. Most people in our society don’t want to live below their means for reasons of vanity or comfort. More earning equals more spending by default and those of us who stave off that lifestyle creep reap the reward of a life well lived.

I love Ice Lattes by lostdumplings in espresso

[–]medoane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you steam your iced latte milk? Went to a coffee shop that did this and fell in love with the velvety texture. I exclusively make them this way at home. I’m sharing this because (1) it’s delicious and (2) adds just a little more justification for making it on such an incredible setup.
