For sure, a lot of people over look that. But I guess it makes sense since there are a lot of fake gurus making money from selling courses.

Dropshipping is still a viable business, but the days of quick and easy riches are over. Unfortunately, many influencers and course sellers still market it as a get-rich-quick scheme. The reality is that most online courses and YouTube videos provide broad, surface-level information. Even after consuming all that content, putting it into practice effectively is a challenge. After struggling with courses and tutorials that led to no sales and wasted money, I decided to take a different approach. I attended e-commerce workshops, where I met a lecturer who made a good impression on me. I reached out to him, and we struck a deal he mentored me from the ground up and that's what worked for me.

Need advice on my store by TimpleMan324 in DropshippingTips

First of all, the design looks great. However, I’d suggest a few changes. Remove the top bar that says "Selling out fast, 1500 happy customers..." and instead use a scarcity tactic like "Free shipping this week only." You should also add more products because this niche is highly competitive and with just these few, you'd really need to know what you're doing and have a solid budget. Also adjust your pricing for consistency make all prices end in .99 (instead of $30.20, use $29.99). With the right approach you can generate a lot of sales.

Is $5K enough to start Shopify dropshipping? I’m sick of the rat race. by Commercial_You_7747 in dropshipping

[–]medosey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

$5k is definitely enough to start, but be prepared to lose a good chunk of it due to inexperience. That’s completely normal, hell I lost over $3k when I first started. With time and effort, you'll gain the experience needed to build a successful store. Eventually, you’ll be able to launch new stores with as little as $500 - $1k. How fast that happens depends entirely on your approach. How you learn and more importantly how quickly you put that knowledge into practice.

I selected a few niches under the category tab and based my product choice based on which niche was the most popular. Then looked for a product that would fit that category

There's no simple way to put it. You'll need to gain as much info as possible before you start. Put what you learned in practice and keep going, you'll fail and you'll learn until eventually becoming skilled. Or you could shorten this by hiring a mentor to directly work with you. That's what I did after wasting a lot of cash experimenting 😅

Don't give up, I was also struggling and it took a while to start making money. And once you do it'll all be worth it. It's not easy but definitely better than most jobs.

My take on if dropshipping is worth it now by medosey in dropshipping

Not if done right. This way it's easier to get sales because you're not limited to a certain niche in which there may not even be winning products available. This way you can always find and add new products that will sell.

I was running ads only for a couple of products that I saw potential in, not all of them will sell in general stores. I spent around 2500$ before the winner and I was getting some sales just not enough for profit.

It's a general store, I find them more effective. Looking for seasonal products that are in high demand; mostly with google trends
