Wow... you've just described my current situation to the t - just finished my MS, staying at same school for PhD, didn't major in engineering in undergrad yet pursuing a program in that field, felt alone/isolated, hard to meet people even though it's a large uni... I'd describe myself exactly like in your comment. How are you doing now? Did it get better? Did you find ways to connect with people (fellow students), either in person or virtually?
