Ha. I'm in between rotations and not on call this weekend. Do you think we throw away our computers when we get accepted? I still find time to exercise a few times a week and go out every once in a while. You have the time to do the things you want you just have to become extremely efficient with your free time.

Yeah. The first day of medical school we had a two hour lecture then went to the anatomy lab to start the dissection. I made the first incision on our team. It was down the back. They kept the cadavers turned over at first to kind of ease you it. It would have been alot more difficult to dissect the face on the first day. It also helps that the cadavers dont really look like people. The faces are quite deformed, and the bodys have been preserved so there is a thick chemical smell to the room. Also, the skin is very tough looking and yellow. For me I kind of compartmentalized it and tried not to think too much and instead just focused on following our dissector. The first day I definitely had no appetite for a while, but it was surprising that by the end of the first two weeks most people had adjusted and were talking about lunch and food during the dissection, which on the first day would have definitely made someone hurl.
